SoCal RC Scale Series Round 3 of 6
Round three of the SoCal RC Scale Series Presented by Tuning Haus will be on Saturday January 10th at TQ RC Raceway in Chino, California.
Realistic racing featuring Formula 1 and GT Sedan cars. 3 minute qualifiers and (3) races each day per class. Formula 1 races are 15 minutes each with two pit stops, GT Sedan races are 10 minutes each with one pit stop. Sportsman and Expert class for each. No other electric on road racing series gives you this much racing action in one day. Race results, points standings, pictures and race reports posted after each series race.

Round 3 this weekend !
Round 3 of the SoCal RC Scale Series for GT Sedans and Formula 1 classes is up this Saturday January 10th at TQ Raceway in Chino, California ! A new layout will be up for Round 3 and will be available to practice on this Wednesday. With two throw outs in this 6 race series, newcomers still have a chance for maximum points to finish in the top 10 season ending finals. There will be some new drivers this weekend from NorCal and locally (some F1 and GT sedan fanatic who has been hibernating in Florida who I hear loves scale racing) so lets see how the new entries shake up the points chases.
If you are a fan of realistic scale racing and think heads up racing is the best experience, this is the series for you. 3 minute qualifiers set your mains for the day. All GT sedans racers have three 10 minute races and Formula 1 have three 15 minute races each day. No other SoCal on road electric racing series gives you this much racing in one days action. Round 4 - SoCal RC Scale Series at TQ RC Racing !
Round 4 of the 6 race SoCal RC Scale Series is up this Saturday 24-January at TQ RC Raceway. How will the battles shape up this weekend ?
GT Sedan: Can Dave Berger keep the momentum from his 3 wins in round 3 ? Did Johnson Thai get all of his bad luck past him at the last round ? Can Kyle get back up on the podium after missing round 3 ? With two top 8 finishes already in the first three rounds, can Sportsman drivers Jeff Gacula and Albert Benavidez, currently first and second in their class get another top 8 finish and put themselves in jeopardy of getting bumped out of Sportsman for the final points championship ?
Formula 1: Will Tyree Phillips pull off another overall win like he did in round 3 ? Can the Panda have it come together for all three races to take advantage of Bill Jeric missing round 4 ? Can Jason Huang gain ground for a podium spot at the end of the series ? In Sportsman, Mark Goldwater, Mark Santa Ines and Tom Kahl also have two top 8 finishes already this season. Will they put it in the top 8 again this round and risk their Sportsman status too ?

With two rounds already missed, JD Ramsey needs strong finishes in the last two rounds to get to the top with Kyle Goodwine looking for another podium to move back up to the top. Will Jeff Gacula get his thrid top 8 to move up from Sportsman to Expert ? And how will Albert Benavidez do not that he has been bumped up to Expert ? Will Steve Vines maintain the Sportsman lead or can some of the other drivers with only three rounds close the gap by running this weekend ?
Formula 1: With the Panda gone this weekend, will rfeturning Bill Jeric and Tyree top the sheets or will Charles Lightfoot's new X-Ray still have the pace to stay at the top. Will Joson Huang continue to podium to challenge for a top three spot at the end of the series ? Can the Cuda maintain his improved pace over the last two rounds to lock in a podium this weekend and can Nor Cal regular Elliott break his duck and start with the A group on Saturday ? Tuning Haus Summer Haus Party - Part 1
Our first outdoor Summer Haus Party will be held Saturday June 13th at Tamiya Race track in Aliso Viejo. All classes will have (1) 3 minute qualifier to seed you for (3) ten minute races including one pit stop. Trophies and prizes to be awarded at the end of the day. ROAR Region 12 Championships Hosted by GLARCRC
Region 12 Championships, June 12, 13, 14 2015. Our first major race of the year on the new layout, hope you can join us.
We were requested to include electric sedans (17.5 Blinky / Rubber tyres) and 1/8 GT electric this was submitted to ROAR and is pending approval.
