The track will be closed due to Electrical trenches, Rain, and equipment moving around for about another week.

Please stay tuned for times and days of being open.

I know we're all anxious to get back out to the track, but there are still some finishing touches needed.

As far as a 'Grand Opening', I plan to pop all that off after the 1st of the year. We will be in a soft opening status til then.

visited the website and it said gates open at 8PM . i am goint to assume that under the "hours" section, they meant to say 8AM not 8PM with races starting at 1030. and i had a question, are there any set hours besides just sunday races. weekend hours, etc. i have work most sunday mornings but wanna race. fri or sat races? practices? hours of opperation?

Be careful, the "1/8 wonder" link and web site still takes you to the Barona track, which doesn't exist anymore and the data on that site was for the old track.
Not much up on the new track in Chula Vista yet, no website either.
Follow the link he talked about in the previous post and watch it for updates. Grand opening is sometime in Jan so anything between now and then is done on the fly.

Side note/rant: it really only takes about 5 min to rename the old web page index file for the 1-8wonder dot com/ (Barona Track) and make a quick text page saying site has moved to Chula Vista, stand by for updates, and rename it to the index file and upload.
Confusion solved....

I wonder how many people drive all the way up to Barona to find out the track doesn't exist. I live in Ramona so it would have only waisted a few minutes of my time. A couple of hours for anyone deep in SD to find out. Kinda sucks... Please someone, update the site...

Is there an official website for the Chula Vista track? If so can you please post it! Thank you!

Also, what is the physical address? Didn't see it on the first page. Too many pages to go through to find the address.

No, that's what I was saying earlier, the only link takes you to the Barona track that has been long closed... No site, kind of got to know someone I think to know the real scoop. It's pretty thin here on post but I know they are running there.

It's by the water park and Cricket (used to be Coors) Ampatheater. Right next to them from what I found. Drive down that road and you'll probably find it. Google maps doesn't show it, it's really new.

You are the first. Everyone else has had not issues in finding the location. It has been well advertised in this Forum and SoCal-RC. com. The crew is very busy getting the place ready and have had to deal with the weather lately. So not all can be perfect.

I'm sure when the staff has a moment, they be working on their website. For now, just check this thread and the one in SoCal-RC.com for updates on when the track is open for practice or racing.
