Correct 7.4 volts 2s2p configuration. This is with 4 AAA sized Lithium-ion cells sold on ebay for about $1.25 a piece.

Default June 10th 2018 PN Race Run & Done

Big Thanks to Lancaster drivers making the trek to this race & making running all classes possible
Lighter total turn out of 11 racers compared to last months 15 at Skyhunter but the level of competition in Super stock is getting deeper fast with Paul bringing it with new found consistency / speed & Lukas coming out of retirement to show he can always hang near the top, the only other racer who did 36 laps during any run Cae was having issues with his car but his multiple fast laps in 7.8's remained untouchable and hinted to whats to come.

Can't wait till a future race-event when CL, Opi among others will be on the track, then we'll be really cooking...this time around it was a bummer my motor gave out mid 2nd A-main but really fun & revealing Q1,Q2 & A1 runs.
Cant say enough how cool it is after all these years to again run classic stock class with Nimh albeit with 3500 which made it even more engaging.

Below are Overall Results after Triple A's for all 3 classes / SS & Stock are divided to A & B sorts.:
Full Race results are here and once there you can click on English language and use drop down menus to navigate to each run.

Default Next Track Day Sunday July 15th from 10 to 6:00

A reminder that PN weekend Track days are now held on the 3rd Sunday (formerly first) of each month and as such next weekend track day falls on July 15th same hours 10:00 to 6:00pm.

Also this will be the LAST weekend track day at this current location, the next one in August will be at PN's new location about 11 miles from it's current address.
Their staff is working on a few exciting "new" ideas for the new location. I'll leave it at that for now

In the meantime Skyhunter Hobby is on their RCP track rotation now. Follow them on FB to see what their cooking as far as any organized race days coming up or just drop in during their shop hours to test-n-tune.

Hello, recently got in to mini z racing. I currently live in Hawaii but making the move to San Diego here in a few weeks. Saw that new place to be is in Walnut(from last post) I picked up a bunch of MR-02's and one MR-03 and a bunch of track as well close to 500 SQ feet of it and a bunch parts. are MR-02s still able to be used? or are they going to just be at home play around? Also I am really looking forward to racing with adults other then my kids that think its funny to play demolition derby. But any ways really looking to be able to get out and make some race buddies. Cheers to you all!

Looking forward to meeting and running with ya If you already know about Grant form PN then you probably also know he's also form Hawaii originally.

Assuming your MR-02's are of the 2.4 ASF variety (not AM) then yes they will be competitive in box stock and stock classes...matter of fact in the race results above the first place was won by a box stock MR-02.
Moving up to super stock or Mod MR-03/PN Chassis/ Jomurema will be what you want to use.

Yesterday it was explained to us that the track section in Walnut may or may not be ready for August, we'll keep posting here to keep all informed.

In the meantime two other RCP tracks have been laid down in Hobby shops and one of them is in Orange (Ultimate Hobbies) which happens to be closer to you, the other one in Lancaster. some of us at PN may be dropping in a co-ordinated fashion in one or both these locations in August or beyond...again we'll keep posting here about those occasion too.

About Yesterday's Track Day:
Great turn out yet again including a new Racer Paul invited.

Lots of box stock testing and productive info gathering to apply to class rules...all I can say box stock will be "really" fun going forward ...super close on same lap start to finish racing all about driving, hard to beat that
There's also a PN/ Kyosho Box stock class in the works which would involve racing in any of the three venues mentioned above with Joint Kyosho and PN sponsorship, more on that when the first race is announced.

Also finally, had the chance to put a few laps on the new Jomurema (ready set version) and wow, probably the next leap in 28th scale performance.

Huge news, all self explanatory

The only obvious thing to add is once these hit the shelves price of entry to "race grade" 28th scale will drop like a rock for non-ko users not to mention how simple it would be.

There are many super cool & advanced options now but costlier and involve more work.

Red RC ? RC Car News » Kyosho Mini-Z MR-03 Evo ? Coming soon

OPEN RX

More exciting releases on the way !

Default 28th Scale Mini-Z Race September, 30th in Lancaster

Audi Pic Below: The latest generation of Kyosho Ready to Run (Ready Set) RWD MR-03's are the real deal in terms of servo and ESC performance, probably an improvement over 1st-2nd 2.4 KO based electronics which is saying something.

Now any RC driver from Novice to Expert can experience hight quality Mini-Z racing for well under $300 including less than a handful of hop-ups & batteries & charging set up.

Complete box stock info to be posted soon.

Mod (yellow) & SS power ( blue-white) practice clip on 09/30 race layout from last Sunday.

Track is open from now till race day for practice...check store hours on google maps, search for Skyhunter Hobby in Lancaster.
