Hey Dave, The track should open when the store opens at 11am and I think they are planning on racing at 7.

Default Motor kv for 17.5

I have a question on off brand motors and how you determined that they are truly 17.5. According to Tekin, Novak and Icon a 17.5 motor is a 2200kv. When checking motors in the 17.5 buggy class yesterday I seen an Orion motor with very little information on it pull 11amps and do 3100 kv. I had my muff dog motor checked. This is supposed to be a tuned motor and I only pulled with + 15 timing 2350 kv. Thatís the most I can do and keep it under 200 degrees. Now according to the chart a 3100 kv motor is a 13.5 motor. So my question is how are you going handle this issue as it looks like people are detuning a 13.5 stator and running it a 17.5 can?

BALLISTIC SPEC 13.5T 3613 Sensored 540 13.5 3,300 Orange Ribbed
BALLISTIC SPEC 17.5T 3617 Sensored 540 17.5 2,200 Yellow Ribbed

who was checking motors? I would have loved to have mine looked over.

Aside...Thanks again to Jimmy, the JBRL crew and Pegasus for letting us come out and play all day. Loved the track and layout, it made for a really fun race day.

Looking forward to some more racing soon!!

They were checking motors in the non-timing classes yesterday of the top three drivers in each heat.

Fun racing yesterday, it's really good to get exposure to many types of track conditions. I really wanted to take a shovel to that donky kick jump before the big triple

Still good times

We are testing new motor checking equipment but nothing has been official put into use. This was the first time we were able to use it in real conditions but it was not an official test for Saturday's race. We are gathering data and knowledge so that eventually we can use it to monitor motors to ensure everything is on the up and up! We want the JBRL to be fair and this is just one more device we can use to ensure fair competition amongst our competitors.

Thanks to everyone for making the trip to Pegasus Hobbies!!! We had 175 entries when all was said and done which means the JBRL is still rocking!!!!

Thanks to Tom and the entire Pegasus staff for all their hospitality, thanks to the JBRL staff for their dedication and sacrifice, but most of all thanks to you the racers for supporting the JBRL.....without you guys and gals none of it would be possible!!!

See you at West Coast!!!!
