Its been years since ive been to Cal Raceway. What is the 'current' pit situation? I heard a year ago or so something about no longer pitting in the 'grass field'.. Also, will masks be enforced on the drivers stand?

Any pics of the current pit area? Shade? etc...

Well last time out during superbowl time, no more pitting in the concrete and everyone in the field, pretty much, you have to bring your own tent, table and chair...

...one thing you can do to make life easier on yourself is to buy a small 6x4 tent at walmart, easier to pack and set up, plus, only shades 1 person, guess the days of 3 people sharing a tent are gone till a vaccines out

I am new to the TC scene and i’m looking to put together a car during quarantine. I’ve been looking at batteries and i’m wondering whether or not LiHV batteries are allowed in 17.5 at Cal. Also, what kind of capacity/discharge rate is a good balance of power and weight?

You can use Lihv and lipo. All battery types are allowed, as long as its a 2S. You really only need like 4600mah for cal since races are like 5-7min of running

But going up to 6000mah should be okay

Could be done with some home depot improvement, something like 300$ and a weekend to build a permanent shade. All wood

If I'm not mistaken Charlie considered that years ago but required permits from the city and yada yada, more trouble then it's worth... I think... But it would be nice
