Default Rev, WCRC, OCRC - what tires do you run?

At these tracks, what tires do you guys run (brand, model, compound)? Please also post your vehicle (buggy or truggy, brand, model).

I run mostly at Rev which is hardpacked and dusty. I'm not sure how to categorize the surface to pick the best tire based on the mfr's "tire selection" guides. I don't really find the right surface description on the mfr sites.

At my last outing at Rev, I was running CrimeFighter M2s on my truggy and it gripped ok...a bit of sliding, but I could account for it. Then I switched to a set of Caliber XTR VTRs and was surprised how much better it handled. It had better lateral and forward grip. I didn't expect the XTR compound to grip better than the M2.
I also tried a set of AKA CityBlocks (not sure what compound...either medium or soft, but not the supersoft...borrowed it to try) on my buggy and it didn't grip very well...I was sliding around quite a bit.

So I'm trying to get a better idea of what others run, their reviews on those tires/compounds, and other opinions on the various track surfaces that are near me.

I'd check out the tracks websites.

Most often, they will have a tire suggestion area. Good information can be had.

i run a b4 at west coast, losi bk bars in pink, proline suburbs mc compound in the rear or a tire that is similar. for the front jconcepts barcodes work, the new hot bodies full slots i just got and like but the beams for the rear are sold out (think they might work good too) you can run losi taper pins-pink compound too or similar tire.
They just changed the track and they packed the clay differently and the clay has more traction right now, so probablly just about any tire would work.

Default Tires at West Coast

JSR, here are the tires we run at West Coast.

2wd buggy: JConcepts Gold Barcodes in F & R.
Pink BK Bars rear, pink tapers in front.
MC compound Proline Suburbs F & R.

2wd Truck: JConcepts Gold Barcodes F & R
Pink taper pins F & R
MC compound Proline Suburbs F & R

SC 2wd & 4wd: JConcepts Green Goosebumps
Proline M3 Calibers & BowTie
AKA Enduro & Wish Bones Soft or Super Soft

8th Scale: JConcepts Most Gold Compound Tires
Proline Any M3 Compound tires
AKA any soft or supersoft tires

Hopefully this helps out. Right now, you can run pretty much any tire on our track and it should work. In fact, a worn out set of tires will probably work really well as long as it's one of the compounds from the list above. Let me know if there are any other questions you might have.

Thanks guys. There's no recommendation list on Rev's site and I did find one for OCRC thanks to a fellow RCTech'er, but it doesn't include the latest tires available.

Thanks for the WCRC recommendations. I've never run clay, so it will be interesting on my first time.

I've run a few different tires at WC/RC and OC/RC, with solid success.

JConcepts Bar Codes - Gold, F&R
Losi Taper Pins - Pink, F&R
Losi Taper Pins - Red, F&R
Pro-Line Suburbs - MC, F&R
Pro-Line Evil Twins - M3, F&R
Pro-Line Fuzzy T - M3, F&R
Losi Slicks - Pink, F&R
Panther Switch 2.0 - Clay, F&R

All worked WELL. I liked the Losi Taper Pins - Pink, but the Bar Codes - Gold seem to last longer and work better after the track has been watered. If you prefer more of a "loose" car that you can toss around, I'd suggest the Losi Slicks - Pink.
