Depends on the class and your budget. 1S for 12th scale ? A medium range 50-80a esc for mini, F1 or Novice sedan ? Need a lighter esc to save weight ? For mod and expert sedan and if budget allows for sportsman sedan, you will probably want to run a high end 140a esc.

Thanks so much! We are going to run 21.5 class which I think is rookie and sportsman. I eventually want to go to 17.5. I was thinking the hobbywing justock pro but not to sure. I did find a turnigy genII esc that I think is 120a also

Hobby Wing Just stock is great for 21.5. For 17.5, better to go with the 80a esc's like the Hobby Wing Pro-Stock or the Scorpion S3-80 Turbo Stock. With the Hobby Wing, you need to get a box or wi-fi connector to program the esc. With the Scorpion, you can program from your phone if you have an Android phone. I am running the Scorpion S3-80 Turbo Stock in my 25.5 F1 and Tamiya GT-2 cars (21.5 this weekend and 17.5 at Tamiya track).

TCS Regional Race is up Tomorrow, May 20th !!

https://www.tqrcracing.com

Event Schedule:

Open Practice: 8:00 am to 9:30 am

Drivers meeting and concourse judging: 9:40 am

Qualifying round one: Starts at 10am.

Qualifying round two: ETA start time is at 12:00 pm

Main events: ETA start time is at 2:00 pm

Awards and raffle: ETA start time is at 4:00 pm.

We will have two rounds of qualifying using staggered IFMAR format.

The main events will be set with your fastest single round of qualifying.

Single Main events.

Please note the following:
  1. The M-Chassis class may use any Tamiya 60D tire at this event.
  2. Due to the high traction nature of the black carpet surface, you may use CA to glue the sidewalls of the tires as well as the flat contact patch of the tire.
  3. Your race director and announcer for this event will be yours truly. I plan to make it fun for all!

Great info! I am going to go with the Scorpion! I really like I can use my phone with it and not have to buy a program box. Now to search for a servo and figure out a pinion for my car. We are running the VBC ghost and has a 110 64p spur but I was reading in the thread for this car I should switch to a 48p spur but not sure if I should.
