Rough outing for me today at West Coast Raceway, lost the handle of the car and the driver. sorry
Hard to keep a grip when the car goes from great to junk.
Hurt a lot of parts these past couple days practicing and racin, found most but some are ridiculously hard to find.
TCS comin up this weekend and I'm lookin for help in finding an F103 gearbox, mainly just the cross piece to mount the friction plate.
Also need a front upright/spring post with 3 clip grooves.
Any tips would be much appreciated.

Sooo, I went to look to see what I had spare on the motor pod (thinking I had plenty and all I needed to run TCS was the non-drive side bearing holder) BUT it seems I gave away all my wing AND friction plate mounts over the course of racing and helping people out. Glad I looked, now I know I am screwed.
No TCS for me.

I'm hopin some of these F103 Veterans will step up and help out during the current gearbox drought.
Maybe Fred will even allow us to run the F104 as an emergency measure since the parts are so scarce.
If he has to say no I understand but there's no advantage to using it other than the fact that they don't explode on impact.

good racing and very exiting announcing, hope to be there for the next one.. BTW changing to 21.5. my silver can went flat
EDIT: WOW, the motor didn't go flat, DB got faster!!! just checked the results and the last run was the fastest run of the day, about 5sec for me and almost a lap for DB.
thanks,
VG

Regarding the silver can motor going flat. I noticed that was happening to me last month as well. I also found that my times did not drop off as expected. I don't know if it is a statement about my driving skills getting better as the race progresses, or that I am trying to over drive the car. But this month, I ran BL 21.5 for the first time and found it to be almost too much power. I do have to say that with the unannounced jump from 8 minute mains to 10 minutes, I was glad to have the higher efficiency of the BL. Kind of makes me wonder if a 25.5 would be a better choice for F1.

Oh yeah---21.5 is slow enough!!! These cars handle fine once you get the right tires for it. Then--it's trying to get enough steering in them.
I'll be practicing tomorrow night!!

They range from mild to wild
UF1 rules: no timing = similar to silvercan with more punch off the corner same top end, less fade from 7mins on, we ran 10min mains last weekend.
There will be more 21.5 cars next race I'm sure.
Camarillo: no restriction on 21.5 output.
Watana and I ran full endbell timing last week, and it was similar to 23T handout from the BFT race.
I have also tried a Tekin RS juiced setting and this is like a mild modified, for even more, essentially at this setting the 21.5 goes to 11
