Just got in from practice today, as we suspected after the 1/5 nats and all that rubber laid down. we sprayed 7gal of coke syurp/methanol and then covered that with 7 gal of VHT/methanol....HOLY SHIT!!! the traction from HELL is at the transit center this weekend. I am running 45 rears and 42 fronts on my 1/8 car and it handles like a lot softer rubber. Practice today, quals and mains tomorrow on 1 set of tyres!!

Also we have moved our annual TFT to December 19, 20 2009 so w can attend CP's TFT, and Charlie's TFT as well. We are also inviting our electric brothers back in December. This should generate a lot of toys and give us all a chance to race.

Racing starts this weekend at 10:00am...be there!!

Sunday February 28, 2010 will be the first race of the year for GLARCRC. Saturday track setup and practice, Sunday racing

Sedan nitro and electric
R/C Superbike
1/8 4wd sportsman and expert (Masters 50+ may run with sportsman)
1/5 STC/F-1/GT/Street

We will also be working on some electric only events over the course of the year as we have hooked up with Charlie Barnes and Yusuke from ABC hobby.

1 of the new club policies for this new year is "on schedule" This means racing will begin at 9:30am SHARP.

This is something that we have been lacking in the club for a long time and everyone agrees that if the schedule is stuck to and the racing runs as planned and on time, we will start to see more racing and participation at the Transit Center.

Hope to see U all there for the new year and don't forget the 3rd annual RCX Challenge March 20,21 2010 Fairplex Pomona Ca. Flyer to be released this week

I picked up one of the new Duratrax 450 electric bikes and it runs and handles terrifically!! I may have to try and drive it in a race!! I'll be there in 1/5 scale sedan for the first race!!!

Sweet...used to race with GLARCRC back in the late '90's and wasn't sure if he was still a Serpent distributor. Nice to see there's a place to run my TT FM1E, too.

HEY GLEN---
Just as an FYI---it would be good if you would move this thread into the Large Scale section. Most of the racers check there for information--not in the Calif tracks section!! I didn't see this for a long time. Ray Takahashi has a thread in Large Scale re: the club. Perhaps you could piggy back on that or start a new one. But that would be a better location for day to day information.
