Yesterday's race at the Transit Center went off without a hitch. Plenty of track time and practice both days and great racing on Sunday. The track layout is fast and flowing, some of the foam tire racers were running 42-45 rears. Our treatment to the asphalt is really bringing up the traction. Congrats to Ray Takahashi on his win in 1/5 STC and Frank Pena winning the 1/8 4wd class. Also, congrats to Chris Verano as he joins the Contrast Race Team for 1/5 Scale. His setup skills and driving expertise will be a great asset to the team

Next race is August 23, 2009 with practice all day Saturday, hpe to see you guys there!!

GLARCRC will be racing this weekend 8/23/2009, setup of the track will start at 8:30am Saturday with practice all day, racing Sunday.

Special thanks to Contrast Racing and V Speed racing for their continued support. Thanks to the nitro racers that are beginning to attend racing at the Transit Center again, the tire wear is still high but is getting better as we are using the same layout and spraying tons of VHT.

We will continue this trend and provide the best fun we can in thanks to the racers supporting our efforts, we do appreciate you guys and are glad to have you racing with us. Don't forget, we are still looking for those IGT guys. All we need is 4 cars and it's on!!

See you this weekend!!

Glen, are you going to start to have more electric classes out there? Also, can I run my Tamiya M-Chassis mini with all of the ABC cars? Or is that up to the racers there that day?

I recieved an email from the RCX promoters today, the 2010 event will be held in March and GLARCRC will be there. bigger, badder, louder, faster!. We also are in the workings for an event at the Long Beach GP next year, looks like the club is off to a great start in 2010. Here's what the RCX folks had to say!!

Hi Guy’s,

I attached our RCX 2010 brochure for your review. As one of the most exciting attractions at our event we would love to have your group back at our 2010 show.

We can set you up in the same location as last year and since we have all been through this already, we can streamline the agreement like last year.

Last year everything came together a little closer to the show because I was new… let’s see if we can have an agreement in place by Thanksgiving…!

Your thought are appreciated.

Best Regards,

Brian

Thankyou Glen and the GLARC club for hosting a race for us Electric guys. I don't get to race as much myself, but i had a great time both off and on teh track. I was just all smiles wrenching on my car then getting it ready for my races. When ever i get the day off, i will be back at GLARC for more racing! Thank you again for a good day.

PEACE BROTHA!

GLARCRC will be hosting it's regular club race September 27, 2009. Practice on Saturday and racing on Sunday. This is the last race before the regionals so come on out and get that final setup.

As always Chris and the track crew will be spraying the crap out of the layout for minimum tyre wear and maximum traction!
