Am I correct that this track does not allow 1/5 scale off road? I'm looking for a track to run my 5ive-T.

They will let you run your 1/10th on the dirt track. It is built for 1/8th and anything smaller than a 1/10th short course seems to struggle (from what I have seen). There are some ruts from the 1/8th cars that "unsettle" the 1/10th cars. Some of the jumps may not be feasible for a 2wd 1/10 (depending on the layout)
I do not think I have seen a class at a race for 1/10th off-road at Rev for a decade.

However They have a 1/10 On Road Track that has really been picking up lately.
They race 1st Sat ev Month. A cheap and fun way to get in would be the Euro Trk class.!!!
The 1/8 Scale track is bumpy, slippery, and rutted Always...So 4 wheel drive would be a Must.
1/10 Losi or Tekno Sct With the best Electronics would work as Good or Better then Most Rigs out There, dependant on driving skill for sure.

Those of you running on road at Rev, what FDR are you running for F1 and 17.5 touring?
I was out practicing today and I couldn稚 get a full 5 min without overheating the motor. For 17.5 TC I am running 4.76 with a Trinity D4 at 55 degrees. For F1 I am running 27/69 with a reedy 25.5. Neither have fans, so I値l need to pick some up. This was my first time back on the track in many years and I致e never run brushless, so I just need some idea of where to start.

Good to see you today. My son and I were on the track with you today and were just having fun watching you practice with your F1.
I am in the same boat as you. I left RC racing 20 years ago with a TA04 and TB01. Learning as well. Hope to see you out there again!

For a TC car, definitely around 4-4.5 ratio with a must on the motor fan.
For both cars a 30x30x10mm fan should be sufficient and highly recommend a 64pitch type gearing
As for timming, you値l want to start around 30deg, make a 5min run and check the temp with a temp gun (a cheap 10$ home depot one should work) If you are under 150F you should raise the motor timing or pinion tooth. If you are over 150F you should lower the motor timing or pinion tooth.
If your brushless motor reaches higher than 180F, it is toast and you値l have to replace it. It痴 always smarter to start low and work your way up
Also, for F1, you usually dont run anything lower than an 80t spur (except if it is a speed run or very large track that has a straight longer than 200ft)

For a 25.5 F1, you値l want something around 3.5 ratio with a motor & esc fan. You want a ratio that will top out like 15 ft before the hairpin at the end of the straight. You値l need a spur around 90t-100t which should let the motor have more RPM

Looking at bringing an Arrma Talion 6s BLX truggy. Would this be allowed in the Truggy (or beginner, as i'm a noob) races please?
