is coming in spring of 2018! It will be located on the old Kaiser Steel property
that is now Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. We will house a 250’ x 125’

and 1/10th scale electric touring car. Our racing schedule will be released in
the coming weeks. We hope you are as excited with this news as we are, and
look forward to seeing you out racing in 2018!"

This is great news to hear. Especially since the Auto Club Speedway has been home to the Annual Nissan RC Cup, It will be great to have a gigantic Asphalt RC Track.
Personally, Racing there is a total blast, easy freeway acess and plenty of parking. I can’t wait to see what kind of track layout there will be. It would be only fitting to have a oval track with islands in the middle for a big road course.
And apart from racing, other clubs already do drifting as well in the Infield Garages
Would love to see it be able to host a nice club of electric on road F1, Sedan and Mini Classes on a regular basis, lol even euro truck and NASCAR!!!
Please do post pictures of the track & facilities as you are building it

I’m crossing my fingers your track will look something like this:
Would also be cool if you guys could add some slight elevation changes on the back cause most tracks are fairly flat in socal, would make it unique. And haven’t had a asphalt on road club in the area since revelation raceway like a decade back

CONGRATULATIONS Goodwine family.
It will be great to see another SoCal race facility for those that come from the far east and surrounding areas too of course. It also enables another racing option . I should have most loose ends tied up by the time the track opens up. Looks like it will be time to dust off the R/C gear. I just need to remember how to use it.
Once again congrats to the Goodwine family. Hope to see you soon.

Unfortunately Panda Forums are now an archaic means of communicating.... Time to come to the dark side

COngrats! Can't wait to see!

The left side of the layout looks good, but I can see pontential issues on the right side, especially with lap time scoring if the finish line in in the middle of a complex set of corners. I would say it would be best to have the finishline on corner of the track...and no offense, but few islands in this format...could limit to few layouts
Maybe you could add some gates:

Yesterday was an exciting day for us at SCS. The racing surface has been asphalted. We need to thank the entire 12 man crew from Premier Paving for doing such an awesome job. They put down 220 tons of fresh asphalt. The racing surface looks amazing !
We have also been busy working on pit lane and truing station tables, and the drivers stand handrail / shade structure.
