Default what if

What if you bought a spectrum rx and tx and the description says its fine but when you get it the rx antenna has been broken and fixed with super glue and all you have to do is look at it and it rebreaks? The seller wont say he sold it that way all he keeps saying is send it back and if he gets it he'll refund my money. Now my point is why didnt he tell me it was broke in the first place and why wont he refund my money right away and then ill send him the stuff back. I didnt get the stuff and then send him money(i had to send extra thru paypal to make him happy with there fees) so what should i do? I saw pics but you cant tell in pics the antenna had been fixed

My first question is what model is the RX? And then I would ask for either a refund, or a $ to cover a replacement antenna if it can be replaced..

That's how refunds generally work. The buyer sends product back and the seller refunds the money once they receive it.

Horizon Hobby will fix the RX and ship it back for free, it will just cost you the price of shipping to them and a 2-3 week turn around period...

As he said that is how refunds work. You ship the product back and once the seller gets it they issue the refund. HOWEVER since the damage was not disclosed fully during the sell, I would pause to question integrity of the seller. It could be as simple as it worked that way and he never though of the repair, so an honest mistake, or it could be that he knew it was jacked up and tried to hide it. If it was the latter I would be very concerned about sending it back. If you can handle the waiting sending it back to Horizon Hobby sounds like the way to go. You're probably looking at less than $10.00 shipped USPS Priority with Insurance for peace of mind. Good luck

maybe a stupid question but maybe the seller did nothing wrong and shipping might have done the problem. How was it packaged?Did the box it came in look rough?Maybe one of the post office employees might have accidentally dropped it.

I sold a set of Kyosho shocks on Ebay recently and forgot to list there was a couple small parts missing. Buyer was unhappy so I offered a refund AND return postage. NO WAY ON EARTH was I going to refund before getting them sent back though.

That's how it works in the real world and RC is still semi close to reality most times.

Can't buy something from Amain, not be happy and get your money back before returning it!

Just get delivery confirmation so you can prove it was returned and if he doesn't refund you Paypal will side with you. May wanna open a claim before shipping though. Just saved my butt doing that.

Good luck!

The OP stated that it was broken and had a shady super glue repair job on it. Definitely not a shipping issue.

Did you at least get any info from the seller? has he replied to anything to help out? Or is he being a deadbeat?
