Just an FYI, any customs agency can open anything coming or going from any country. Just because a package is shipped to Canada doesn't mean that a US customs officer hasn't opened it before it got here. Being sponsored by 2 US companies, a lot of my stuff has been opened and checked by both sides. Imagine going to a race in the US and crossing the border. Its always up to the border guards descretion on if they want to look at your gear. I now carry a big binder with all of the stuff I have with me for a race. I spent 2 hours at a crossing once, opening everything and explaining what everything was and what it was used for.

I'm not defending anyone here, but this is a lesson on getting your packages insured. Always use it, and if the seller won't put it on for you, stop the deal.

Default Shipping

Why is everyone so hooked on buster brown(UPS) Whenever possible use the post office and ship by Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. This will give you a number to track with, most packages shipped are usually there in two days and the post office seems to sustain a lot less damage. If you use the postal service and get screwed then it is a FEDERAL crime, mail fraud. I also give my phone number when shipping and expect the same when I buy. I also don't have a problem with COD CASH ONLY if the other party pays the shipping and COD fee of $ 5.00 up front, the other alternative is 50% up front and the balance COD. When is everyone going to learn "easy money on the internet" is a crooks mantra. Just my thoughts.

Hi,
I am about to get my friend in californai to mail the following...

Should I change anything?

Hello David H.E. Johnson of Renagade RC from Bardstown Kentucky.
Whether or not you remember, this is Steven Chun's Friend in California. I paid you with through my paypal account.
It has been noted by Steve that you are selling his speed controller that you had sold him on November 14th 2003.
It is ebay item 3186622436 (with the deans and long wires)

Steve tried to contact you several times after he received the empty box. First you acted like you were gonna help but then you ignored him after a while.

This is an international mail fraud and Steven and I will take it as far as we can.
I've already notified the UPS branch and I plan to notify ebay, paypal and your local police but this may depend on your action.

I suggest to you that you end the auction and send Steve his speed controller or things may get ugly.

Please do not ignore this email.

Thank you and let us know quickly.

Steve, I sent him an email through ebay asking him why this was out on rctech about him. I copied what you had posted (the letter) and that ebay might be concerned about him selling something allready paid for.

I'll post his reply.

Sucks gettin screwed doesn't it?
