BEWARE OF HBD817
Hello all. I posted a wanted ad for a M12s and 481 receivers. HBD817 replied Thursday night, sent me a text with pictures of the items Friday morning. HBD817 said he/she would ship same day if paid by 4:30pm I paid at 9:30am that day and haven't heard from HBD817 since tried text messages tried messages on here and even tried message through PayPal. There has been activity on the account after I tried contacting him/her but no response yet. PayPal address was [email protected] name on account is Crystal Kieffer so if you guys are contacted by this person BEWARE.
Update here's the number the guy/gal contacted me from +1 (267) 385-1637 putting this out there in case the perp gets another user name

I think when asking for pictures, asking for a picture of a drivers licence should be required. at least then you have a real name and adresse. obviously the id shouldnt be posted in open but somewhere during the transaction you should try to verify the identity of the person your sending funds too

i think hballday is the same guy as hb817 so he been scamming people for a few weeks now thats just sad never had a problem on this site untill yesterday ... and i agree with you should have to do a picture of your licence

You think the scammer will not go to the little trouble to make a fake id to post...
In today's world there is NO WAY IN HELL I would send a picture of my DL to any stranger over a sell/purchase on an Internet forum.
We would see threads every other day about how someone's identity has been stolen.

I'm not gonna guess, I'm gonna ask. Did either of you send payment as"friends or family"..? I'll assume so otherwise you wouldn't have been ripped off, you would just file a PP claim.
FYI on sending friends or family payments with a CC. Not only does the guy rip you off, you paid extra for him to do it! PayPal charges the sender a fee equivalent to that of a seller fee for the amount sent.

It's pretty low if he brings his " girlfriend " into this, just surprised nobody has looked up a Facebook on these characters or just send repeated emails to them, it's really looking like the wanted thread is seeing a rash of this kind of stuff, but more importantly that these guys are NOT coming to this thread topic to do some research, as I have a small list of the people that have done wrong, just wonder what their local police department could do, as their has to be a address to them, unless you can pay rent and buy groceries with PayPal.
