Opened a claim on the DX3R Pro that I purchased from him... Its only been 4 days but.. he sold the same radio using the same photo to another member a couple weeks ago and they did not receive theirs either.

Maybe he has 2... but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

Read the thread....

http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...o-cheap-2.html

Does he validate that he was indeed in the hospital at the same time he was suspended for asking for gift payments. IMO no, the screen shot could be paper work from who knows where and who knows when. I don's see ANY date on it. You want to validate yourself and your story. Find a way and ACTUALLY do so. Some people have received there stuff, others seemingly have not.

Would I trust this guy?.... Oh hell NO! That's MY opinion, you guys do what you want. I would buy from someone else.

Default Mr. Shawn

I to have an purchase not yet received with Mr. Sawn. I sent Pay pal on Aug 10 I texted him for a tracking number on Aug. 13 and he advised the shipped yesterday which would of been Aug. 12. As of the morning Aug. 23 The package has not arrived. I sent him a PM threw rctech and he advised that You will have this week for sure. As of this morning Friday Aug. 26 at 9:00 am noting has arrived. I am still hopeful that it will work out and I will be posting all is as it should be. I do understand that life can get challenging and have complications so I will wait patiently until next week some time and if the items don't arrive I will be forced to start a claim threw pay pal. I would suggest any one considering a purchase with Mr. Shawn confirm shipping expiations and for sure use pay pal

I received the tires and batteries that I paid for last Tuesday, they came in last night. The batteries are Ok looking but I wont know much until I charge and run them. Not happy with the tires. The way it was described made it seem I was getting 4 sets of jconcepts clay tires like an actual treaded tire and one set of sweep clay compound slicks. Instead I got all slicks. Not sure if I can ever run them or if they will work at my track. Money wasted I guess. He did however totally forget the battery bag that I purchased so an entire item wasnt in the box.

I am half way tempted to just request a full refund and send it all back. Never been put in a spot like this before so not totally sure how I should proceed. He did actually respond to my text today and said he forgot it and would send it...

Started my dispute with PayPal today since he left part of my purchase out of the box. See what happens. He has refused to respond to my texts all day long today and shot me a one word answer yesterday. Over it. Putting it through PayPal now and not wasting any more time. I have til the 20th to elevate to a claim if it doesn't work out. I suggest everyone else dealing with him currently to start going through PayPal as well so that they get the point he shouldn't be using their services.

Read the FS thread I linked, The part about him saying he was in the hospital the EXACT same time he was suspended for asking for gift payments...is well, comical, with a blurry picture of some paperwork not being very convincing

I can't beat this drum hard enough! Never ever send gift payments!! It's STUPID!! There's a reason that we ask members to REPORT people who ask for them!! FYI, PM's have a report button in the upper left corner. OR you can FORWARD the PM to myself or Cpt.America and we will deal with it.

I'm not pointing fingers or singling anyone out. I'm just using this seller as the prefect example of why you DON'T DO IT!

Paid $125 through PayPal for a b5m lite (the hop ups one) and he said he was going to the post office in 30 min on Thursday 8/25 ... that is the same day I paid ... well after payment was sent he quit replying to my text messages ... finally on Tuesday he replied and said he sent it out on Saturday ... not sure what to do ... I guess I will continue to try to contact him and give it a couple days to either get a tracking # or for it to show up . I'm not holding my breath. I'll update when I take the next step.

Please do. I feel like I am lucky that anything at all showed up on my doorstep but of course missing even a single item isn't right. He's not replying to anything anymore, email or text, so I just went to PayPal. Here's to hoping with enough claims coming in against him that we can all get our money back or a portion of or heck even out items.

I did not, nor will I ever, send money as a gift to anyone for payment for anything.

People, do your homework. Look at the posts in this thread, look at the posts in his FS thread, look at how many people are having issues with him. Why would you wait on taking this to PP?? He was active DAILY, until 8/26 at 11:26 am CST. Hasn't been here since! And that was 2+ days before I banned him, so he stopped coming here all on his own.

Why any of you would "wait and see what happens" is beyond me

I'm knee deep in every issue that comes up on here. I preach about the obvious signs of a scammer, advise people what TO do and what NOT to do..yet it's like I'm talking to myself. SOME of you deserve what you get, which is usually NOTHING. I'm just speaking in general, not directly to anyone in this thread
