Default Rc theif in Garden City Michigan

There is a theif leering out on forums Lost_Frequency (Thomas Tondreau) he lives in Garden City Michigan. We did a trade, the Associated b5m fl that he got from me arrived Saturday at his door signed by him. The package from him to me never showed up. The guy has quit answering texts, phone calls and pm's. I would like to accomplish 2 things

First and foremost to make as many rc'ers out there aware of his presence

Second try and get my stuff back. Reward will be offered!!!

Post is phone number. We can all call him using Skype or semi anonymousend at odd hours in the night.

Also call the police local to him and file a report.

Find out the value threshold for felony theft in Michigan.

Great idea.

Does it matter that I'm in New Mexico- as far as calling the police goes?

Once you explain your facts to a detective, that detective can determine whether she or he has jurisdiction to act.

he is a member here?

contact site moderation, and also the police.....

It went over state lines, so most likely is going to be a felony for theft, and a federal crime.....

Thumbs down Not a good idea

Not a great idea when it's against forum rules.....Just saying.
Besides, it could come back on the original poster as harassment. Then you just add more trouble to the trouble you have now.
Just send him a PM with a link to the thread you made. Might even ask a moderator to send him a PM with a link to the thread also.
That way he can have a chance to explain himself & we'll have both sides of the story.

1) It's not a great idea and we don't allow it here. The ONLY time I allow personal info to be posted is if the person in question has publicly posted it themselves. OR if I can personally verify known scammers to multiple accounts and info. Even then, that's only if they're a member HERE.

2) This "deal" didn't happen here. Nobody knows if this guy is even a member here.

So.....If this person is on RCTECH, does he have a trader rating? As HOTROD87 always says, one with the lowest rating MUST send 1st. I too have been "screwed" on a trade. It didn't live by HOTROD's moto that time but REFUSE to do a trade unless I know the person OR if they send 1st. I am very sorry that you are having an issue. I think getting RACER involved to try and communicate with this individual would be smart. Good luck trying to have a officer of the law with everything happening in the crazy world tracking down an RC car. This may just be a very expensive lesson. Again, I am very very sorry this happened to you....Best of luck...
