Default HappyGene what's the deal

This guy but 2 Hobby King servos from me that were brand-new only mocked up in my trucks and never used they sat in the garage for about a year. The price that he paid he basically got one for less than half price. The pics in my first sale ad pretty much show them as being as such you don't see any marks on the wires are on the put plugs or on the servos themselves yet this guy terms of the PayPal that he needs a five dollar refund because they were mocked up and that makes them not brand-new. The guy's got great feedback what's the deal? Why is he so anal? You got a great deal and they were never used that is easily seen in the product.

So I'm guessing you told him they were brand new?

No not listed as new in package and the pic was included in the ad. In fact it still is.

In the opening post he says they are new. All I'm saying is that "new" means its still in the package. I've seen more and more ads saying "new" only tested or connector soldered mocked up etc and in my opinion that is not new.

Agree 100%. So many people list "brand new" only to find out they soldered the wires on, cut wiring, or did something to change the "wrapped in cellophane" condition.

Brand new or new means new in package. Something out of package can be 'Like New" and explain why it's not in package. As a buyer I'll make the decision on whether or not I want it.

If they were never used and only mocked up how aren't they still new?

Personally issue the $5 refund and be extra specific next time. In no way saying you messed up this time, just saying make it known 2-3 times lol.

New means new. Never used in any way. And mocking one up means it has been used.

Wow, I should've browsed on my phone a little last night, huh?

I've got no particular gripe with anyone and I was handling this privately. Y'all have made me some good deals, no doubt about it, and I don't want to endanger those opportunities.

The guy said "brand new" but told me they weren't in the packages and didn't have horns, etc. Ok, no biggie, and they do work (the best part!)

Here's the pics:

The pics in his ad are still up and from that distance look pretty good; but closer we find a bit of dirt, grease and nicking on the brass outdrives and wires. I don't mind the mounting depressions as much as the other issues and they were included in the PayPal claim. This happened only after contacting him via PM a couple times.

I'm not a bad guy about this kind of thing. I got a 12th chassis, for example, "excellent condition" (and it was) with a bit of chipping on the outer front. No biggie - if you run without rubber/plastic boundaries or in a bunched class, it just happens. He didn't say it was brand new and I wasn't expecting brand new. We're both happy about the deal.

This irked me a little, though. Now, it's no shame to have a very tight Christmas budget and if that's the case, I can drop the claim. But if it's just because you felt your opinion overshadowed consensus in the market place, I'll stand.

I like almost everybody I've met here (lots!) and my vote is for you and I to be friends if that can be in a clear way.

Thanks, Guys, for the comments and support.

Gene I have no doubt you're not a bad guy at all. You're just much more anal than myself. I can be pretty anal too lol. Enjoy the dirt cheap servos and have a beer in me with that 5.00. Just being honest, oh there's THAT word again. The Internet is not where any of my friends are so need to worry about what you vote for. The Internet is just an outlet for accessibility and information.
