Thumbs down Watch out for MattP

Watch out for MattP, he is quick to answer all questions while your interested in what he has to sell, that combined with a 100% trader rating with over 400 transactions makes you think he is trustworthy, he is not. We made a deal on 1/19/15. I agreed to purchase his Tekno sct410 roller, 1 protech servo and 2 sets of sct tires, shipped for $410. MattP told me he would link the shipment tracking number as soon as the package shipped. I upheld my end of the deal and made payment through paypal within a couple hours. After 3 days passed with no tracking number, I messaged him to to get an eta on when he was going to ship the truck, thats when the excuses started. First it was sorry dude I was out of town all week with work, even though he was posting on this forum every day, then it was I will ship it monday or I will refund your money. On monday evening he informed me via text message "the package shipped". Then when I asked Matt for the shipment tracking number that he promised me, that is when he ceased all communication. As of now (3 weeks later) I still have not gotten what I paid for, I also never got the tracking number he had promised. I guess with being new to this forum and watching how fast fellow members make transactions gave me a false sense of security. Now I guess we will see how well paypal works at getting my money back. My dispute from one week ago is now upgraded to a claim.

Your surprised. Man I'm right there with you, I thought for sure this would be a great experience, and my son and I would end up with one awesome sct truck. MattP has excellent trader feedback and has a lot of useful posts in some of the Tekno forums, if I can't trust someone with his background, who can I trust?

Too bad that your first deal went bad. I have done 4 deals in the past whit him all with great results. Hope you can solve this issue. Not everyday a member with good reputation decides to go south, and ruin his feedback.

I wish we could get it resolved also. I have agonized whether or not this is the right thing to do, I am not the type of person to drag anyones name through the mud. MattP has been on this forum since 2007 and I am new to the game. 2 weeks with no communication to me or paypal? I know he has been online, he even responded to a PM I sent about a week ago. He did not recognize my user name, once I asked him about the Tekno he quit responding right then and there.

How do I link him to this thread? I have nothing to hide. If anyone thinks that I'm in the wrong please let me know. As of now I have given up on the idea of getting what I paid for, and now I just want to let others know to watch out, as he still has some stuff up for sale.

I had some issues with him recently as well. I did eventually get my money back, but it took numerous calls to Paypal to do so.

He sold me an item, then 5 days later after asking for a tracking number, he says he was sick, didnt ship it and would give a refund. A few days after that, get an email from Paypal saying his bank had refused the refund. Sent him a few PMs, never heard back.

Eventually had to go through Paypal, they did eventually get the money from his account, but it took a bit. I did get my money back, but something shady is going on there and it seems to be the same/close to the same case for others involved as well.
