Default Another bad seller: Dsouza

I bought a MIP tweak station+other assorted setup tools from Dsouza last week.
http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...ce-set-up.html

He got everything out quickly, but he shipped everything in an un-padded priority 'bag'

The bubble level in the MIP tweak station cracked with no liquid left inside. I didn't see anything else damaged.

I sent him a PM letting him know I got everything but the level was broken making the tweak station unusable. I asked for $7 back to cover the cost of a new level from MIP($4) + whatever shipping might be. (it's back-ordered right now so I can't get an exact quote)

He respond with this

I haven't filed a claim or left feedback yet, I want to give him another chance to make this right..

I'd be more concerned with whether everything is still straight since he can't seem to figure out how to properly package something. I'd just do a paypal claim and send it back to him.

Reminds me of the time I bought a carburetor for a car off of ebay. The guy set the carb in a box with zero packing materials inside. The throttle shaft was bent when it showed up (big surprise!) and when I contacted the guy he said the same thing. "You got a good deal, just bend it back" Are you freaking kidding me!? I HATE sellers like that. Worthless.

In my opinion, $7 isn't worth getting a Paypal claim against you, and getting negative feedback. Especially if you do a decent amount of buying and selling on here.

Hammer his backside with a negative! Even if he makes it right at this point, shouldn't have to deal with the hassle when it's obvious what the right thing to do is.

Same thing happened to me with a 30 pound 15" subwoofer.
The guy threw about 6 styrofoam plates in a giant box with the sub and sent it like that.
The guy blamed the packing on his wife lol.

Forget the $7 bucks! I would want him to buy a whole new tweak station from MIP to make this right.

Man, people can be stupid. Who cares if he got a great deal or not, it arrived damaged. Man up and make it right, 7 whole dollars being a fair resolution in this case.

What if he paid way more than it was really worth? Would he have said. "7 bucks, sure no problem. I screwed you over on the price in the first place."..I doubt it!

IMO, there isn't even a need to inform the guy of this thread. He made his bed, and he can lie in it.
