Default Some trade advise...

Looking at a possible trade, however the guy is insisting we ship same day. How do you all deal with situations like this?

Do I go for it? Or should I back out? I never ship first unless I'm very comfortable (hotdoggy 87 you're an exception because I feel like I know you on a personal level)

Basically this guy has some feedback on multiple sites, but all under different names. It makes me nervous.

He seems ok in Pm's explaining his reason for not shipping first is because he just had a hitec servo stolen from him recently in the same "trade" fashion.

His username is mad222 on here, mad222 on rccrawler.com, and garvok on rcshortcourse.com.. I'm going to take a day to think about it and get some more feedback from my lovely fellow techers, hopefully someone comes up with a good idea to put some security in this.

No offence intended towards mad222 . You know where I stand on this situation that's why it's in my signature. I have to say no feedback vs 8 soon to be 9 and 100% . Follow your gut it's seldom wrong.

It's unfortunate that it has come to this, 2 guys both wanting an honest trade, muddied up from past experiences.
The thing about this is I'm being completely forthcoming, we are both trying to do the deal on rcshortcourse.com, not here, on the other site we are both newbs, with no feedback, I also have 8 feedback on rccrawler all 100% positive, and I gave him my eBay acc which has 450 or so positive 100% feedbacks,

I'm Leary as I've been burned in the past, this thread in itself is almost the same as leaving bad feedback, when he said first, to ship first cause I have no feedback, and after he got my exo, he would ship out the hyper, so ya I expect to be Leary, .....

So what do we do, both take a bow, and back out?, I'm at a wall now, I just wanted a shortcourse truck for my son, argh,
Matt

Its Shipping wars. Lol . It is basically the same as with hotrod87 says . Personnally on something like this i would give each others number and full information. Even go through paypal as if each other is buying. The others truck . In low feedback i would say who contacted who . Both of you want each others cars how bad do you want it.

I can personally vouch for Cinnabun, have done deals with him and he is a great seller/buyer...never had a problem. Just wanted to throw that out there. Trading in general is a risk, but the majority of times it works out.

Matt, I was in no way trying to offend anyone by making this thread. More or less, I was looking for advice on the easiest way to do this. I'm still thinking the deal over, and I sent you a PM on rcsc.com.

LOL, I like the username although it makes me crave cinnamon and icing dang it.

If MaD222 has provided ebay feedback drop him a message through that asking for his RCTech.net name. If he responds and the feedback is good I would say cross shipping should be good, especially since you both have about the same amount of feedback, albeit across multiple sites. I have used the ebay thing with many a new trader with great success. Good luck.
