I think the ship the same day story is a stupid thing to even mention. Think about it, you're trusting the other guy to ship the same day, right? Really? I tried that before, I'll pm the person and tell him I shipped and back it up with tracking numbers. Their reply? My wife's mothers third born stepson just died. I'll get it in the mail tomorrow. What they are really doing is waiting for the tracking number to be in the system. This trade idea only creates tension that's not needed. What I do is simple. Whomever has the lowest confirmed feedback will ship first, period.

I always laugh when someone wants me to ship same time saying "We both have 100 percent + feedback". Yeah, your 10 as a buyer to my 100+ lol. Not going to happen.

I always go by lower feedback ships first, unless feedback is close. My last trade I shipped same time due to the other guy having 80+, figured close enough and it was a low dollar deal.

As someone who never advocates trading, I have done 2 recently, both with people with lower feedback. Shipped same day in both cases, and everything worked great in both cases.

Still makes me nervous though. Discussions with the other person in both circumstances gave me good vibes and didn't feel like a scam. Maybe I just got lucky, but I would do whatever instinct tells you is best. Trader feedback only goes so far.

Good luck!

+1, it's all about the communication Attitude. I'm in the middle of a trade with a member who has 200 feedback. Guess what: we're both shipping today.

Cinnabun, We did a trade and you're definitely on point. Mad222 should ship first. You have feedback he doesn't. It's the way trading is done. (or should be).

Definitely props to Cinnabun, he's a man of his word!

That's not really fair Slo, considering you're trusted to be a super mod you've obviously earned some "extra credit" somewhere along the line.

We held off. He had to get some parts to repair a piece, which he openly told me was broken.

Why don't each of you just buy the other's items through PayPal at the same agreed upon price? That way if one of you gets burned, you have PayPal to get your money back.

Sometimes people don't have the money to outright buy something, which is why they trade. Not the ideal answer, but that is what happens a lot.
