Default How long do you wait?

I purchased a motor on here and it has been a little over a week. The guy hasn't responded to any pm or anything no tracking. How long should I wait before filing a PayPal dispute?

I disagree no pm return or any communication. No reason why no tracking info I would file now. I would also pm him a link to this thread.

Depends on the trader feedback, and previous conversations you've had with him really. Everything is situational. If he has perfect feedback, then maybe something came up. Only you can really know what your gut is telling you to do though.

I hope it works out though!

How longs it been since you pm'd him? Has user logged on since you contacted them? I usually wait a week before I contact someone (if item hasn't arrived and have no tracking info.) I bought an item from I will give them 24hrs to respond if I've seen them sign on since I contacted them, if they do not I will try one more time and once again give them 24hrs. If I get no response and see that they have logged several times since I will give it a few more days to see if item arrives then file a dispute or give it no more then two weeks since the day of purchase then file.........Depends on which comes first........

He has been online. I have pmed him twice over the last few days. And he doesn't have any feedback I thought it would be ok since he has almost 700 posts and a confirmed PayPal address. I try to be understanding of shipping time but no responses and and feedback have me on edge.

Based on the above I would follow hotrods advice and file now. Ignored PM's are never a good thing. Hoping for the best.

It has been a week, no contact from him after you have PM'ed him. No feedback. He had no problem taking your money in a fast manner he should do the same for giving you what you paid for. I understand things come up but if you sign in here and ignore someone there is no excuse, he had the time in his busy schedule to get on here it takes only 2 mins of that to say something to you. I would file a claim now.

What's with the guy bumping his own thread twice in one day, the same day it was originally posted?

Seller's with no feedback are always a toss up. Usually the legit ones are over eager to communicate and make a name for themselves. Anytime I deal with a low feedback or 0 feedback seller....they get little to no room for error ;-) Claims get filed VERY quickly if they go dark.

You're on the right path filing your claim. If they are legit....they will make things right ASAP. If not....well....cross your fingers. I hope it was a cheap item?

Hope it works out.

I'm done doing this for people. I do a lot of work on these situations, I'm not doing it all.
