Its a legitimate number, but it hasn't actually been shipped yet. So far its showing that a label has been printed. We'll keep our fingers crossed. Don't close your PayPal claim.

I received a USPS tracking number as well. It does come up in the system as electronic shipping info received. Although his response to PayPal was that no tracking is available but 5 minutes after that message he provided a tracking number.

I have until the 20th to escalate the claim. Lets hope the item I actually purchased is what comes, if at all.

Will update when I have more news.

Thanks Everyone,
Kane

You guys be careful, You can pay shipping and print a label from your own computer without actually shipping the item. I don't know about the larger stuff but on a small item like a motor it would be easy to pay a few bucks and print the label to buy time.

As for as I know you can't unless you can see something on PayPal about his address which I doubt.

This statement (in bold) along with the two members just now receiving shipping labels (that were printed today) doesn't give me a warm, cozy feeling. "Was" is past tense, as in the items were already shipped. "In person" implies that the packages were physically handed over to the carrier.

I seriously hope that the items arrive safe and sound and that everyone's happy in the end. I do know that if I was Kane and if the motor does show, but isn't as nice as the one in the photo, I'd continue with the claim.

Something in general for sellers. If using the post office, regardless if you pay online, ALWAYS get someone to physically scan in the package and get a receipt showing that it was accepted. Even if you use the APCs they have, they don't scan them often when you drop them off.

You in essence have no proof that it was accepted by the post office till this occurs.

Definitely not giving a warm fuzzy feeling that the shipping info was generated today ... I am thinking the best bet is to just get a refund to be honest.

Both tracking numbers work (usps)

But the guy is full of crap! I've got a PM from gannbig showing Ftnitro asking "did the buggy arrive yet? Because the tracking shows in transit."

He's simply dragging out the PP claims as long as he can.

Am I completely oblivious or were you not a Moderator yesterday?

Either way, it's good to see more people willing to take the time to make this site better.
