I always insist on a contact phone number (before purchase) AND a tracking number or confirmation number (after purchase). I had a similar transaction on EBay . The guy I purchased from was in a car accident and in the hospital I found out a week later . Glad I didn't jump the gun and post a bad feedback . The guy wanted to refund my money AND send me the product I purchased just to get the postitve feedback . I refused refund and recieved product . Alls well . He said nobody else knew his log on info to contact anyone else of his accident . Things do work out sometimes .

Well I've been waiting for almost 4 weeks now and he's had a multitude of opportunities to start a trace. He's been saying for 2 weeks that he would start one and he hasn't. He had plenty of time to do what was right. I waited long enough.

The guy works alot and hasn't had time to go to the Post Office ? OK , fine . But what about a phone ? Doesn't he know they exist or maybe they don't have a phone where he works ? I'm sure ALL Post Offices have phones ! No excuse here . He either didn't send it or he sent it with no source of tracking and it got lost ? What's the chances of that happening ? HHmmm !

Thank you! It would take a total of about, oh.... 5 MINUTES to start a trace. I'm not sympathetic at all. I work 12-14 hour days so I don't want to hear any more excuses.

Sometimes things do get lost in the mail. I have a UPS route and I always ship UPS. First time I use USPS to ship a 10 dollar vxl it get's lost and the buyer does't even hit me up leaves me a bad feedback, saying im a scammer. I didn't sell on this forum for a year build up 40+ posotive transactions to make my big scam and bail for 10 bucks. Some people are just idiots

Yeah all I wanted him to do was start a trace, and I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but how many times has he posted on this board since I asked him to start a trace?

Well Paypal couldn't get the money out of his Paypal account (Go figure) so now I have to wait until he pays them the money. This is really bogus, and I hope he loses his Paypal account. You just can't do business like this. I mean, he doesn't even have the decency to tell me whether he started a trace and it's been a month now. What am I supposed to say?

Well I sent him a pm again and he replied, but yet still can't tell me if he started a trace and he won't even post here because he is a liar and doesn't have even that much courtesy, but he knows I changed my signature because he told me I was "childish" for doing that.

I doubt I will ever see the money again. He claims that he "has done his part", so he obviously isn't going to start a trace on the item.

This is what they said:
After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer
Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds
from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery
of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Please know that we will make our best effort to recover the funds in
question if they become available in the seller's account in the future and
will take appropriate action against the seller. Such action may include
issuing a warning, a temporary restriction, or terminating the account.
Keep in mind that PayPal uses a number of factors to determine when to take
action, including member complaints. Due to privacy laws, we cannot discuss
the details of any action taken. We hope you understand our policy and that
it assures you that you are safe using PayPal.

I have been using Paypal since 1998. I think it's great. It's just people like David who make it painful.
