Differences mutually resolved--a fairy tale ending indeed.

RC Tech'ers rock. Everybody wins when misunderstandings are resolved, not just the parties directly involved--everybody who trades here benefits.

A body is used if its ran twice.. New is never run.. You should man up and give this dude his money back or at least partial.. Id be pissed too if I bought a "New truck" and it was used..
Would you go to a chevy dealer and buy a "Brand new truck" with 2,000 miles on it? And pay brand new prices? Id doubt it.

That was my whole point.....I could have picked up any number of T4's here, ebay or local for $125-$150, this I know. I popped for the extra money on this truck as I know by paying my local painter a nice body is $40-$75 for the paint job plus cost of body. That's why I figured save a few bucks this one has a new body. I thought I was reasonable with my request to refund $35 back or return the truck. Fair don't you think??

And I'd bet everyone would have given him the benefit of the doubt if he'd said "I made a mistake" and bought the truck back or made an adjustment.

As it turns out, that's exactly what he did. Good on you HRC!

Lets say $150.00 for the truck. Then this body really only cost you $30.00. You paid me $180.00. Its a fair deal. Plus I gave you a mod motor ran a couple of times and a servo.

Now birdy can race his truck knowing he got exactly what he's paid for. It sucks when a misunderstanding makes you feel like maybe you were cheated--so it feels even better when the seller (HRC) comes through like a CHAMP!

Great job both of you! birdy got what he needed to feel good about the deal without taking advantage of the situation, and HRC made the right call by taking care of business. Can't ask for more from anybody.

Its a matter of principle. I am a businessman. I feel like he got a nice deal.

And Scottrik I should have said included not gave. And easy on the name calling it is very uncalled for.

wow, need some deep waders for whats going on in here...

a "businessman" doesnt do business at any point on what he feels the other person received was a fair deal or not, thats just a stupid statement. A businessman conducts business based on what was promised in the deal. Plus, a "businessman" that alledgedly drives an S55 *cough* BS *cough* would also realize that a legal contract has been formed in this case and the description of the items are binding based upon the description of the seller and the expectation of the buyer based upon the description of the seller. The buyer states he purchased the truck based on the "new" body that was listed, that was not the case - buyer has a claim against seller. Personally, i'm neutral in opinion about the body and making a deal based upon the body but the buyer isnt neutral and he's the one that counts. The BS that has been flowing since then and the attitude by the seller is what I found entertaining and laughable.
