If one thing is to be learned by all sellers I guess it is to make sure the buyer HAS to sign for the item when it arrives, so as to have more leverage in the situation. You got his adress---Dude I'm not suggesting anything but...

the lesson is:
if you sell and accept money via paypal make sure it is always a confirmed address in the USA
if the total is over $250, always require a signature. Make it insured.

I had a guy get me for $450 back in January. It was a confirmed address and he only lived an hour away. I went to visit him, he was using his bosses account "unknowingly"
and now he had ran off and left his boss holding the bag for about 10 such incidents. I contacted the local police and was going to push this as far as needed but paypal refunded my money the next day so all was good.

Paypal is on the edge of being legal so they will not fight credit card companies on reverse charge claims.

there has to be someone else in here from Lincoln Nebraska...

wow something seriously needs to be done about this. I know I'm new here but on some of our Canadian forums (non rc), mods are strict about this kind of stuff and bann the ip of the culprit right away. that way they cannot keep on comming back with diff user names (well unless they change their ISP or have dynamic ip).

also, I can't believe noone has posted this site yet: http://paypalsucks.com/ (sorry mods if this is not allowed).

I have heard so many horror stories about paypal. it's great for buyers but is a disaster waiting to happen for sellers, because eventually someone will try to scam you. when this happens, paypal makes it that much easier for the scammer to carry out the act...

anyways, I hope something is done about this guy.

You should pack yourself in a box, then mail yourself to guy, and when he opens the box punch him in the face. It would be cheaper than a greyhound ticket.

I hope you get this figured out!!

too late now since he has been called out, but could have had a buddy buy it back from him with a credit card and returned the favor when it arrived...
