That would be too easy not like re-writing the forums and such and honestly I search the wanted section first before the sale side and I personally feel its easier to post a wanted item vs digging and searching every hour on a sale section but its buyer beware and besides it gives some of us reading enjoyment
Same stuff different day

but 98.9999999999999% of all reported complaints for scams generate from the wanted ads

It comes down to people, the problem is they don't want to work or are to lazy and want free money and the rest of us users are the ones paying for their mistakes, but ya know what they save a ton of money almost to a point being unbelievable great deals only to wind up here posting their woes to the world

It's definitely the same person/people just simply creating new accounts which they can do all day long every day easily. Nothing anybody can do other than be wise and let's hope these kooks get tired of this site and go away. Personally I'm staying away from the WTB section.

Id agree with most of the scams come from the want adds.. ie email this person has what you want(fear of lose already there) . then they ask to text from a # that a simple google search will show scams from that # along with E mail. these scammers have been online for many years .real car forums to rc and many others. Herd a few times want adds are easiest place to get scammed. Well when you buy something with no recourse to get your money back that's why..so close that section and then that percentage of scams go away..

There needs to be a post and/or feedback threshold needed to access the sale/wtb section.

I posted up a WTB, and "Adm222" PM'd me with only 1 post to their name, and a message saying, "I have this available, text me (insert phone number here)".

Scam centralllll

What if they provide a phone # and want $ via venmo? My concern is that the guy only has 1 other post.
