Default BUKUPOWER2013 is a scammer

Via RCTech.net I was contacted by the seller after I posted a WTB ad for a RC8B3.1e. After paying for the item via paypal to *******. I was asked the next day by the seller to resend the money to a different 2nd paypal account. After he refunded me he then contacted me and asked me to instead send it to a 3rd account. After sending it to the 3rd account, he sent me back 200 of the 345. The entire transaction has been weird. After the partial refund of 200 I asked to cancel the transaction and for him to refund my money as in 5 days he still hadnt shipped the car, only kept asking me to send money to this account and that account. I asked on Friday for the refund, and have not received it yet. After opening a paypal claim it seemed the scammer was a middle man having me pay for a pair of $145 shoes, hence why I got refunded the 200.

Yeah after the first I was already weary but the deal was very good, which is why I made sure to pay goods and services.

Seems the scammer (bukupower2013) has me pay for an eBay shoe auction. Shoes were shipped and delivered already. Scammer has his shoes. I’m out money and the eBay auction seller shipped to an unverified address not the one in my PayPal payment. Figure will PayPal will side w me and the shoe seller will be out the shoes.

His email on his profile is [email protected]

First redflag he joined and has no feedback or posts, secondly texting! File a claim, and go from there.

Why is the scammer not banned and IP address blocked from accessing the forum?

Because a lot of these types of scammers just come on, and if they create an account do not post anything, and a lot of times just scour the BST threads for potential victims that just list their Phone Number out of convenience to themselves, just making it extra convenient for them to perform a scam. And the worst part oversight is lost, as texts are not visible to the mods or the administrators. There are red flags that go up, and no one heeds the rules, its not hard to communicate via PM, then email etc. This happens over and over again...unfortunately.

Just to update this thread, I had an interaction with buku also and it seemed fishy from the beginning. He responded to my wanted ad with prices, asking me to text him. I text him, and magically the prices increase. I send a screenshot of his post and he says he’ll honor the prices. Than I hear nothing. A week later he asks if I’m still interested. Something didn’t feel right so I do some digging and found this. Sent him a link to this post and his response was “stop wasting my time jerk.”

Just watch out for this guy.
