Default Rookie mistake - scam warning Kerytcv and [email protected]

Ok no time to be embarrassed, I just want to spare others from being ripped off.

Kerytcv contacted me for my WTB post and in my excitement at the thought of finding my MR4-BX I didn't do my homework. They sent me pics and I used Tineye to see if they had been from somewhere else on the internet but they weren't so I figured it was legit.

I won't make that mistake again. Some information on how things transpired below...

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I don't mind filling out a form for customs. What's your phone number?

I got hold of your shipping address and it has been noted down for shipping. Please let the Western Union be the pickup option. You can use your credit card to make the payment. Below is the information needed to make payment via Western Union.

Name: Collina Morris
Address: Indianapolis, IN 46224

Once you are done with payment, you are to email the following from your payment receipt to enable us confirm your payment.

Reference #:
Sender's name:
Amount sent:

I'll email you a tracking number and relevant shipping information once payment is received or confirmed.

Thanks
Collina

I know it's no surprise, but you should have seen that scam from mile away.

The interesting thing is that the address is a property that is for sale, so the scammers either chose it randomly or just pull adresses off of real estate websites? There does appear to be a Collina Morris in that area, so are we to assume that she is in on the scam by accepting the money?

Scammers go such great lengths to put these scams in motion.

Especially when they ask for payment thru Western Union, M.O., C.C. etc.

very simple to avoid all of this if people would only take the time to read the for sale rules at the top of the page
