Default Strange buyer..

Ok so I had a truggy listed about a year ago which sold. I recently get a pm from a brand new member as in March 7 new and he wants to know about the truggy. I tell him it sold sometime back but I actually have one now that I'm considering selling. He asked for pics so I send the pics and my asking price. He replies by email and says that is the only way that he can communicate. Ok I understand some people don't like to text or give out to much info. He tells me he wants the truggy so I give him my PayPal and wait....and wait some more. He gets back to me and says he is having a hard time with PayPal because it keeps telling him to "check details"...he asks is there any other way he can purchase and I told him no, only PayPal because it protects us both. Well the next day he sends email stating that hes paying through a friends PayPal and sends me the money. Now this is where I'm a little nervous..the shipping address is to cruiseliner docked in Florida. Apparently this person works on the ship. So i send him a response with my phone number and ask if he can call me so we can discuss some things. I missed the call and when I tried to call him back the number comes back as no longer in service or invalid number. I send an email asking about the phone number and he says it's a satellite phone and he can't receive calls.. Ok so am I being paranoid here or should I just transfer the funds to my account and ship this thing????

Ok guys I get it. Lol, so just for conversation sake what is the worst thing that can happen? If I send it with insurance and signature required what can this person do? Can he tell PayPal he didn't get what he wanted and they refund him his cash and he gets my truggy? Then PayPal comes after me for the money? I appreciate and value your opinions.

Bottom line is you get scammed. Hit refund and never look back.

If the shipping address isn't a confirmed address that is attached to the buyers PayPal account, chances are you would get burned on this one.

Much too risky.

I've bought/sold 100s of things, even my address isn't 'confirmed' in paypal. I don't think anyone I've sold to in the past 2-3 years has had a confirmed address.

IF they sent $$$ as f&f you could literally keep the $$$, not send anything and there's nothing PP could do about it.

IMO, ship it out to him. Some people are just odd.

I would not ship it if they didn't send $$$ as F&F in this case, just refund and walk away.

refund and run. Smells like a scam from 100 yards.
