Best place to order gear from
Hi,
I left the hobby in 2013 and looking to come back now after finishing school, but with the AUD much weaker to the USD then back then my old stores (amain, tower hobbies) have become much more expensive... Where are most guys buying from these days for electronics, kits etc.
Cheers

Another few I have bought from, always had good service.

http://www.mildtowildrc.com.au/
http://abt-hobbies.com.au/
http://www.rabhobbies.com.au/online/
http://hobbyking.com/
although some have had dramas with hobbyking I have had pretty good luck with them.
To be honest the dollar might not be that good but most of my business is still out of the country, just a better variety and prices are really pretty good.

If your racing try A Main Hobbies. Then try Stormer Hobbies and Tower Hobbies.
I order most of my Tamiya stuff; direct.

Stormer used to not take Paypal and didn't have accurate Aust freight costs up front but that may have changed.
Also look at:
www.asiatees.com
www.stellamodels.net
www.liquidrc.com
www.modelflight.com.au
www.rcmart.com
www.rcmaker.com.au
As far as customer service goes, speedyrc is probably the best I have had, as well as rcmaker

I don't think there is any "best place"
It really all depends what you are after.
Unfortunately unlike many Hong Kong and American stores such as Tower, Amain, RCmart etc. The Australian stores don't offer the huge range of brands that they do (not big enough market for that)
For example, if you want Xray stuff, don't go to WalterRC, you go to Norther beaches hobby centre. If you want Serpent stuff, call WalterRC not NBHC.

RCRS (Radio Control Race Supplies) in Bendigo, owned & run by one of Australia's top offroad racers & very good to deal with.
Really depends what you're after though, 1/8 nitro/electric or them little electric 1/10 things, plenty of good places in Oz to get gear, just have to look & depends if you want a quality race car or just something cheap to bash with.
Most good hobby shops will have a Facebook page so worth having a look around.
