Big Congratulations to Melbourne MassiveMods racing team , Taking out the first 5 places in the A Main off road truck series in Shepperton today ! Thats 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th ! All running HB 444 Fuel and 1st and 2nd with MM modified engines .

i used massive tourer fuel for the first time today at moorebank raceway for practice/tune. previously i've always used Runnertime (AKA, Lunnaline/Ballytime fuel) i was a huge fan of Runnertime, and found no reason to switch except for the high price of the fuel :cry: . I've tryed MassiveMods fuel due to it's cost. i have also tryed the .21 25% nitro buggy fuel previously and found my buggy engine ran perfect.

well, to make a short story shorter :D , MassiveMods 16% nitro was, in my opinion no different in performance than runnertime, (i'm just a club racer, but been racing for a while, and using runnertime for approx 2 years now i think). Massive 16% actually gave my sirio a slightly higher peak rev.

i'm probably what marketers would call a "late adopter" when it comes to running MassiveMods fuel in a tourer, but i'd just like to say that i'm happy with it. seriously, i can't complain, and nothing exciting to report :D :lol: .... :o same as runnertime,

no insane increase in top end, no insane, never before seen, ball tearing performance....just the same results as runnertime which is $25 per litre fuel, except Massive 16% is only $17 per litre :D :D

i think i'll be running MassiveMods in my buggy and tourer from now on. i might try Runnertime 25% with the buggy just as a tease, but i doubt i will notice any difference really :o

thats right tom. the massive fuel doesn't perform any better than fuel that you make yourself using good quality ingredients or any of the quality known brands of fuel. the most expensive ingredient is the nitro and for $16 a litre the nitro would be of a chineese origin rather than american based which would explain why i found some light rust appearing on my crankshafts after using the massive fuel. as long as you clean your engine out after every race meet and use truck loads of after run you should be right. :)

Im glad you like it Tom, MassiveMods has just begun its journey into fuel and mods , We lishen to our product users and support them in what they do. Same as runner time , thats a compliment , runner time is one nice fuel.

its common for people to think that the nitro is to blame for rust but its actually the methanol and improper after care of the engine. What you should do no matter what fuel you use is run the fuel out of the engine at the end of the day so the methanol wont attract moisture.

Do your self a little experiment

get a crank and pour nitro all over it and let it sit over night.
do the same with methanol, pour over it and let it sit over night

you will notice the methanol coated one may rust.

Here is a quiz for you

Having said that ive seen the internals of 2 of the same engine owned by the same driver running the same fuel in both engines, one had rust spots on the crank and the other was clean as a whistle. Both engines had done the same amount of use and both were cared for in the same manner.

Question : Why did one rust and the other didnt ?
