No worries , what are you running at the moment ?

Hey Mark.....dont forget to start working on that recipe for the "Hanky Dissolving Fuel"  ......
Cheers

MassiveMods 02-11-2006 05:20 PM

We are currently working on dissolving all hankeys from racing events so to avoid any further mishaps.. lol

Dang never heard of that happening man ! lmao !

AndyT © 02-11-2006 06:24 PM

I could see it happening in slow motion.....marshall picks up car....marshalls hankie gets sucked into the drivetrain/flywheel.....car flames out....unbelievable lol   Then the tug o war starts to get the hanky out of the car...lmao....i cant imagine a more bizzare flameout

Massivemods, I love your fuel. I ran dad's NJ modified TZ with it and cannot fault it, it makes the tz scream like a bee on steriods. And running in my RB using it, it hasn't missed a beat. top fuel i love it! and so cheap! ;)

The OX 02-11-2006 11:24 PM

MM, as there are some titles coming up is your fuel GUARRANTEED to pass tests?

You website says you recommend people run 20%...that will fail scrutineering.

Its fine for an engine to sing at Tempe, Penrith or Eastern Creek, but your reputation will be in tatters when people lose their qualifiers at big events.

No Fuel can guarantee to pass testing.

Ive heard of some major commercial brands coming in at 17 and 18 % Now wether thats the tester not doing the test properly or the fuel going over thats another story. probably 5 out of 10 float tests
are done incorrectly, half the time testers dont carry a thermometer, this means the fuel cannot be tested properly. just using a float is not accurate enough. The fuel needs to be at 68 Deg F or 20 Deg C in order for the float to be accurate, if it is differing in temps the tester then has to calculate using a
Baume formula to which the marking level is compensated to float.
In all fairness the fuel should be tested before quals, its been known to happen people run one fuel for quals and another for racing.

Our specific gravities are balanced to equate to 0 , meaning the extra specific gravity in Nitro is compensated by the lower specific gravity of the oils we use, these are calculated to work in volume measurements and cross refrenced .

the recommendation is exactly that, a recommendation. 20% is generally a good content to run, there is no refrence to run 20% nitro in a sanctioned event where 16% is the max allowable. But i am thankful for your concern, rest assured we do everything possible to make fuel accurately.

Hope this clears up any confusion for you...

Cheers :D

I may not be a high tech engine modder and fuel mixer like you, but based on your answer....cant you add 25% nitro and the right amount of lower specifc gravity oil to pass tests?

Sounds a bit suss to me....but maybe I am being a little too particular.

I know people ahve run as high as 35% at PDNR in the past, but sheesh we all want to pass fuel tests at major events...and also ope that our competitors are not cheating with their fuel/oil mixes.

And that does not even mention porting techniques!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Ox

If people want to cheat then they will allways try and stretch / interpret the rules to suit themselves. We can only rely on the rules and the people who are trusted to enforce them to have the knowledge to keep the cheats honest.

If someone cheats, wins and gets away with it then it's a hollow victory to them. In the Olympics they have more money then we will ever have in this sport / hobby and they can't erradicate cheats so what hope do we have.

I suppose in the end you can only rely on your own morals.

MassiveMods 02-13-2006 02:45 PM

B4 Hit the nail on the head , Trying to irradicate cheating is like asking to hit the reset button on the world. Its a fact of life and those that do it the right way , even if they dont win, have the satisfaction of having done it right..

And OX it was nice chatting with you today ! I look forward to putting a face to the name down at penrith in a few weeks, so are you gonna race , im dying to see this competition thats brewing on the PDNR thread..

Cheers
