if you seen how quik walker is and when he comes of the track
and hits somthing backwards it would brake eny car.
the rear a arms were the weekspot on the mtx2
but not enough to worry about and if the mtx3 is the same
thay will still be the car to have

What are we taling about Shaking up RC? or the MTX3?

OK don't yell at me.

I've been racing for about 12-13 years sticking to electric classes.

Originally stock was running for 6 minutes, and I belive there was 7 cell off road modified racing. 7 cell dropped by the way side just before I started racing, then, in the early 90's stock racing dropped to 5 minutes.

I think the original call was to shorten racing to take the sting out of the then raging battery war. Back then you could gear your car to exploit it's motor really well and risk dumping, or, well, not. I'm not sure, but I think this was also to bring our rules in line with the rest of the world.

If you lengthen races, you move the focus away from voltage to capacity in control motor classes, and battres become even more important.

If we want to change racing, we need to let the organisers know what we want to change, not the other way around.

BTW, if your after somthing different, check out the Canberra 400 Lap R/C enduro thread.

the logical thing would be to just wait and see.

here is a solution for electric rc to run longer... stick a 1:1 Scale Car Battery on top... I'm not gonna promise that it will move, but at least it will stay ON for long periods of time...

If the clubs want more members find out why the LHSs are not sending them. They are the ones that deal with the newbies.

At Dandenong we have just started handing out free passes for anybody who buys a car from any of the LHS's. Sunday was the first race meet since we started with them, and there were 6 new guys there! Perhaps all you guys in other states / regions could look at doing something like that.

p.s don't start on me........ CINDY
