They're probably the best you can get. I haven't heard anything bad about them.

The servo will work with an AM radio.

Flysti,

The JR DZ9000S will throw:.06/60 degrees @ 6V

The Futaba S9254 will throw:.06/60 degrees @ 6V

Seems everyones catching up to Sanwa/Airtronics

I've had the JR DZ9000S for 2 years now and still going strong...Actually the JR has more torque than any other servo in that speed ratio of 0.06.

JR all the way if you want the best outright speed with torque.

this is probably a factual statement, ive got more ko servos than any other brand but i also have 4 hitec digitals that have done faultless service over the past 5/6 years in some harsh conditions i would not write hitec off just because no 'legend' uses one a lot of the rock crawlers use hitec and trust me no group is harder on servos than this lot

also have a look at the ace digitals (the all alloy case ones) i reckon they are pretty good, the 1013 (.10sec and 13kg @ 6v) is a pretty hot item and the $$ at retail in aust is very reasonable

i would not say either these brands are outright the 'best' (my $$ is with ko) but at their price are really good value, lets say you can get 2 ace's for one ko, the ko is probably not twice as good or reliable (maybe the alloy case ace might be a bit on the heavy side for TC but that may also help balance the car too)

this is one of those silly "which is best" questions which is too open ended to get a real answer... your better adding a price which is the best over $200 is different to the one thats best under $150

Good point Contact,

I had a drama with a Hitec radio at last years nats.........

I have used and abused 2 Hitec HS925's over 3 years with no hiccups.
Compared to a KO 2343 there is no comparison, at all.

Price wise, seems that the 'high end' servo prices have fallen somewhat in the last couple of years as well. Hence, new KO servos.

Cheers

you seem like you have made up your mind about the servo (sanwa wrx) so i would stick with that.

the smart tray is a good unit but you may pay around 180.00 for one new in oz, unless of course you can pick one up second hand.

still nothing thats on the market at the moment will come close to a teamwave lightning.

i would also advise not to by a discharger with a cut off at only zero volts especialy if you are going to be using IB (intellect) cells.

i like the s9550 for electric cars and for nitro i recon the bomb servo is the sanwa erg vx, massive torque.

best discharger? for ib's? either smarttray, team wave, or the new much more CTX-D that is comming out looks sweet as!
