Default LIPO Batteries i nAustralia - Whats going on ?

Hi Guys,

With our favourite brands of Batteries now getting near impossible to buy in Australia - where do we all go to buy our LIPOS?

- Cant find anywhere stocking LRP anymore
- I use to love ORCA Batteries - cant find them anymore
- R1 Batteries now not available anymore

so where are we going to get our batteries from.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=91432

anyone tried the Trinigy Graphene -- link above

Brad

A lot of airlines will not freight them anymore. Makes it very hard for the importers to buy them. Even Hobbykings international shipping rates for lipos have doubled.

Most people now are going for whatever we can get out of the AU Hobbyking warehouse. I think Coast2Coast and Ausrab still do some SMC Lipos though.

A friend imports lipos for RC boats, and has been hit with the same problem. So he brings them in sea freight, which hasn't added to the cost, but can take up to 3 months to get them. Sadly it seems like something we need to adjust to.

Metro Hobbies had quite a few LRP lipos in stock a couple of weeks ago but I expect with AOC around the corner would be selling quickly.

Feral batteries and Walter also have some stock.

Noticed that to, went to buy some SMC off Coast2Coast and they had no inboard lipos. Still deciding what to do. Probably end up just going with HobbyKing.

Last few packs I've bought direct from Fantom. Shipping was actually quite cheap.

Wouldn't mind knowing this as well. Haven't tried Fandom packs but may give them ago. Use to love their brushed motors.
