Have a look next race meet at the LST2 and then the REVO 3.3 during a race and then decide which one to buy

Look at which MT holds the lap record this year and also last year.

Back to your original question the LST2 is the better racer and basher in out of the box form.
The Aftershock has the LST1 arms, cvds, axles etc and are not race or bash worthy.

ofcourse you could buy the aftershock and get the LST2 arms/cvds/axles etc from a chopshop. cost you approx $120 for both Front and Rear. then all you need is a set of Losi 420 wheels and the race tyre of your choice.

the LST2 comes with a better tuned pipe, the aftershock however does have the FOC as stock though.

Haven't sat down and done the maths but the aftershock would probably work out cheaper with the necessary LST2 components.
LST2 tuned pipe and header from chopshop approx $30au

PM me for more details

LST2 -lap record in 06, best time for 10min race in 06, 1 outta 10 spots @ the titles (+ 1 to the aftershock with a 4th by mike orielly).. currently holding best lap in 07

Revo 3.3 - 7 out of the top 10 titles places, best 5min time in 06, currently holding best 5 + 20min time in 07.

Afterrun oil didn't save the rear bearing from falling apart.

Lap records arnt really worth much over the whole season. The track got changed when i got into my revo and every race the track gets rougher to. My thought are the lst is a little less fiddlie and a bit stronger but the revo has plenty of adjustments to play with and they are more race designed than the lst. But then again I do drive a revo so i may be a little bias

the rear bearing on Jim's aftermarket motor, not the car itself, or standard motor

Ok let me reword that. Look at the fastest lap time(s) for each race meet.

I'll be racing the LST2 this weekend along with my truggy. I'll be keeping it in bash mode so that way I give the REVO's a chance ...or maybe cuz I'm lazy

I think the LST2 is amazing at the track for its size and weight. The REVO is a 1/10th scale and its definitely more prone to breakage. Besides blowing up a string of engines(all replaced under STS warranty), the only time I broke anything was when I smoked the water box. I do have to say that the REVO's really soak up the rough conditions @ MV well. When the track was smooth I was confident I could take out MT. But when its rough I know Adam's REVO is going to be right there with the LST boys.

My biggest problem in MT is that I LOVED the stock Mach 427...but like most (i.e. Jim ) I just had to try out some extra HP. Which is all but useless @ MV IMO. Adam is proof positive of that, that damn weak sounding REVO is so average in power (like my 427) but yet it scoots around with really smooth power and Adam hits consistent lines all day.
