Reason being, I have a TQ, and one day, I wanna change the engine, get some new tyres and give pullstart a go. But the stock Hyper 21 isn't exactly a balltearer.

bump start only engines with sealed backplate = pro bug..

any pullstart, tiger drive, roto start engine = pullstart bug.

we dont care if you actually start it by bump start/starter box, but the backplate starter device must actually work.

Oh ok, that's cool then. It's just I noticed on the states entry form that the engine must come with the car or something. Which would rule me out if I got a better engine.

sorry, i thought you was talking about regular race meets where we are more lenient..

for the SA titles, yes the engine must come with the car. in the case of the hypers, it can be the .21 or the .28 as it comes in the hyper7 TQ version. so you could easily slap the Tq 28 motor in it and still be legal.

lol, way to throw a curve ball at us... hyper .21 should be ok in it since it doesnt come with an engine, i really dont see it being a prob..

otherwise you will have to run with no engine, since it doesnt come with one.. but that sure would make for quick fuel stops

i haven't read the pullstart rules for the states, but usually it goes along the line that if you replace the engine that it came with it must be a 21 or the same type of engine that the rtr came with. so if you buy a rtr with a 28 in it & it dies you can replace it with the same 28 engine, or any other 21 pullstart engine. hope this helps.

With the rain we have had this week, hows the track holding up??

Weather is looking nice for sunday (high teens-low 20's) and if we get some more rain, or showers tomorrow evening, should be heaps of traction

Tomorow should be dry but windy, so it will probably help dry it out a fair bit.
