So it's cool if spectators just park down on the asphalt and wonder over to the track?

yeah, but get there early, the parks go quick, especially in summer when everyone goes to the park for a bbq.

looking forward to sunday, i'm assuming parking fees will be required at the gate prior to entry glenn?
members who intend to pay it can come through and just pay it with their race fees, it will be more of an honesty thing with each member having to shut the gate immediately once they enter so its not left open. (kinda like cattle gates on country roads i guess)

I dont think we'll go military style with someone standing at the gate in army greens, checking ppls credentials and inspecting their boot like a russian border crossing

yep sure is mate.
Club Members will now be allowed to park near the track purely to free up the bitumen parking spaces for park users, spectators etc, but only when the ground is dry (no risk of getting bogged)

3 races a month sure does take up your weekends, i had to miss MP last weekend to get stuff done around the house. this weekends going to be a good one i hope, if i had remembered about easter next weekend i'd have made more of an effort to get everything done to make it to MP for at least 1 race this month. i'm going to be down the ranks now in mod, not that i had a chance of beating Glen anyway he's just too fast.

ok ive finally heard back from the council regarding trackside parking and
  • we can only park there in warmer weather when the reserve gets more use from regular park users.. cooler weather should mean less park users and therefore we must use the carpark during those times
  • if its been raining the day before, we cant drive on the reserve.
and we cannot park there this month because the paperwork has not been finalised, which means the park rangers may hand out fines since they have had no "official" word on the matter.

We will also be given reserve permits from council to exempt us from parking tickets, but none of this can be accomplished before this meet but most likely will be in effect by next meet.

what if it is raining are we allowed to bring cars up to get our stuff?

did you pay for a pit pass yet?

we can only use it when its dry, coz all that traffic in and out on wet grass will surely get ppl bogged, then how does everyone else get out?

obviously if its raining, the answer would be no.

chance are if it's raining there won't be much of a meet anyway, wasn't much fun standing in that downpoor trying to keep my transmitter dry. this weekend looks good though.

new Mugen on the way, won't be here before this race, but it'll be ready as a spare for the next one. saves wrenching between race if something big goes wrong.
