Soldering tips
 
Is there an art to soldering brush shunts on to the endbell, I.E. Do you use a small tip :confused: :confused: :confused:

I guess it depends on your iron's capability..

I use a 3.2mm tip, with a pretty hot iron. (about 400C)

Another handy thing is a soldering heatsink. Stops the solder running up the lead

Soldering brushes
 
This is what i do & works for me :sneaky: Tin the end of the brush shunt by holding it with long nose plyers, have about 4/5mm sticking out from the end, this will stop tha solder running up to far :eek: tweek end of shunt about 45deg's, have endbell ready (tined) solder them on while holding it with tha plyers ;) ;)
