Hi guys,

I'm visiting here from Malaysia. Is Meakin Park the place to go for some 1/8 nitro off road action? Is this a public track or do you have to pay to get in?

Cheers,
Alvin

Just wondering how many electrics run at Meakin.

I've got a brushless E Revo and am interested in joining the club next year. How much is membership and a key and what class would i run in? I'm mainly just interested in a bit of friendly competition now and again as i doubt i'll be able to make all meets (and i'll probably spend most of the day on my lid)

Plan on coming down this weekend for a look so i guess most of my questions will be answered then.

Track looks alot better then last time i saw it Nice work to those who put in the effort.

Hi Alvin
This weekend is one of our annual 2 day race meets.
Come down and check it out. Better still come and race.
It is a public track, but is kept under lock and key to prevent track damage.
Generally people with keys, post on here when they will be at the track practising, and anybody is welcome at these times.
Hope this helps.

Hi Darrell,

Thanks for the info. Will definitely try to make it to the track this weekend to check things out. Wish I new about the race earlier. Could have made plans to join in the racing. By the way, I'm running a Losi Eight 2.0, any recommendations for a good hobby shop in the local area?

Do you guys run the SC10 class at your club on normal race days.

Looked at them today and they look like a lot of fun, especially considering the price of them.

What are the class rules with motors etc?

Cheers
Aaron

What an excellent Meakin Masters at the BRICKYARD .
A MASSIVE thanks to all the people who put in the hard work to get the track ready & helped out with the event (the track held up pretty well over the 2 days). Well done to the winners. Have a great XMas everybody & I will see you all at the new track.

Yes we will be running the SC10 class on normal race days as long as we get enough people to race (8 minimum), but I don't think this will be a problem as these cars are very popular.

The rules are :
1. original or oem wheels and tyres (no 1/8th buggy wheels and adaptors or 1/10th 2.2 truck or buggy wheels and tyres )

2. open electric motors

3. original or oem body /shell

Any questions do not hesitate to ask, we are more than happy to help you get involved.

Does anyone have pictures of the podium place getters for all classes run at the Meakin Masters?

Cheers
