justin,

just go to Jaycar and tell them you want to make a 12vDC power distribution box for 4mm bannana plugs, they will help you out,

otherwise if you are at the hill tonight have a look at mine,

Its easy, buy a box from dicksmith electronics which will fit as many female bannana plugs as you want, measure out the distance and make all the holes even. Then start drilling all the holes and put the female bannana plug though. Tighten the plug and wire this in parallel.

Thats what i did with mine and it works great.

Pm me for more info

you'd be better off making one, that way you can have one to suit your personal needs. just take your time and plan it out. work out how many outputs you'll use, (chargers, discharger, fan, etc.). its probably a good idea to add a couple more, and a 20 or 30amp fuse, just in case. there's every chance you will find at least a couple of home made units at any race meeting sitting on someones table. you can ask them on building advice, im sure they will be glad to help you out. if you want more help i can PM you photos of a couple i have made. :)

So i take it that the power supply connects into the distributer box.

Here are some instructions I loosely based mine on. more of a guide than instructions I think.

http://www.taobracing.net/review_powerstation.shtml

"power stations", "Distributor boxes" or whatever you call them are quite simple to make, mine took no more than 30mins to an hour to build and test.

yep, from your power supply into the box, then split it into 4,5,6 whatever amount of outputs you want.just be sure not to go overboard with the outputs if you only have a low capacity power supply. no good having 6 pairs of outputs if you only have 10amps available.

I made mine in my pit table...to save on space.

Just got a peice of perspex added "Banana sockets" , then screwed it to my table. The power supply connects from under the table, leaving it clutter free.

Cheers

mine is now built into a heavily modified PC case, will pic it up soon, but basically holds all my electronics

Power Station

No hassle. Compact. Pretty blue lights

Is that price Australian or US? i have only seen them for $55 US.

The one I built cost me like $15 to $20 and the skills required to build it are very basic. plus you have the "made it myself" bragging rights
