Well had a practice today at sunny coast track was very slippery even with a spray of molasses,To whom ever prep track tomorrow maybe a thin coat of molasses and a heavy coat of soft drink would be ideal to make the cars work from the word go.Just a thought

You will probably find that it will be better tomorrow, being cleaned and gooped 2 days in a row and extra goop being used on race day than practice day.

Curved front straight, two angled drivers stands, the evil eye. All very funny stuff. I don't know if El Nitro was even going fishing, but someone took the bait!

Sounds like things have been a bit of a downer lately. Hopefully you can pick it up again for round 3. Don't forget also that we have NSW vs Qld at Tamworth over Easter (19th, 20th April). No politics there, just great racing representing your state!

As for the rest of it, anyone who thinks Wynnum is done with their Vendetta against the La Spina's really needs to think again. Rat Face Koolymons was there a whole 5 mins before he started to cause trouble and in his words and i quote "I am only here to be a thorn in his side". That pretty much sums it all up. Total stooge and nothing less.

The drivers pretty much voted loud and clear on what they think, 26 drivers at a rainy first day under Graham and 9 drivers under Lars and Potatohead and 4 of those walked out before the racing even started. Enough said really.

As for me, i am glad this sorry pile of crap is over, done and dusted. The argument "Come race and dont let them win" just does not hold water. We were never going to win, we had lost before it even started and we all should have stood by our convictions and just boycotted the thing like everyone else. You just cannot argue with stupid.

I will take a few days away from RC and then start to rebuild the consensus we had among ourselves and the interest of the drivers and see if we can get 30+ drivers to Trackside RC in 3 weeks time.

Cheers all,

Rob.
Does not surprise me it went pear shape, the question I would ask is why there are 4-5 committee members from Bayside at a race meet at Sunny Coast whom normally don't or never attend this race meet , especially when they where not even there to race RC Cars. Causing more trouble may be an option, why would you do this to another club unless you want to cause trouble in the RC community.

I gave the 12th scale a run on the carpet at Trackside today. I still had my setup in from the sunny coast R1, attempt 1, so it wasn't ideal but was still good fun. Most of the track had plenty of grip however I had a bit of an issue with crabbing on the front straight, which will hopefully improve as the carpet gets run on more.

Johnny, Clinton and Snapper did the same today, it was hooked up like nothing you can believe. Gear down a little and a bead of CA on the front tires to take away grip and it worked BEAUTIFUL.

Hey guys, do not forget that the Tamworth Cup is coming up soon. Should be the biggest 12th scale event of the year by far. Here are the links to the event site and also to the description in the NSW tour page.

NSW verses QLD State of Origin

Track information written in the NSW Tour Thread.

Note this is NOT a panorama shot. The track actually is this shape:

The drivers' stand is on the right, just the other side of the pit lane. Also, there are lights, which I may have forgotten to mention.
