Just to let all club members know. The AGM did not happen last night due to not enough members of the committee turning up. Therefore it will be held in 1 month time. The date will be the 24th Feb 2018. The current Committee will continue running things until then.

Default Round One Summer Season

A rather soft start to the year, fun none the less. the 4.5 Final drive for Sportsman 21.5 (kids Club) will surely bring some parity to the racing and also eliminate the deep pocket syndrome from this class.

Looks like Josh & Adrian are going to have some real competition this year from young Joseph who stepped up from kids club. A new paint scheme from Josh won't be enough to stay out in front. Looks Like I might need to resurrect an old Tamiya to keep Ollie company in mid field. I know what its like Ollie, you pay the bills so you don't drive quite as aggressively as the youngster.

ISTC 13.5 was pretty close up the front with Nathan, Elliot and Kingsley showing a clean pair of heels to the rest of the field. With Kingsley feeling the age pinch the points went to Elliot. Its top notch racing when you get a Personal best on the day beaten by a TQ.

Rather quiet in mod with Terry shaking down a new rig.

Highlight for me today was watching the 2 Euro trucks in open practice. Kingsley's Red & Green Machine up against Elliots Red White & Blue. Kingsley had taller gearing installed by 2 teeth, which made him a little qujcker down the straights. Different driving styles for both trucks and a swapping of hand controls at one point showed the trucks were 99% even. Both trucks were running unglued tyres. The only other differences were Kingsley oiled up shock sleeves (which seemed to attract a lot of debris) and the way the diffs were done in each truck. Lots of fun still to come.

Check this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP-jqInRgzY for things to come in trucks

Cheers Brendan

Box stock gearing Heavy, I just didn't have the hardened 19T pinion so had a different one in for testing.
Stock gearing will be the ratio in the box, we discussed at Logan that we can use aftermarket pinions to improve durability as the stock pinion is apparently soft.

I've got a spare new hard 19t .6 module pinion if you want one

Default Saturday Night Racing

Oh well the last of the practice nights is done. Got rained out after 2 heats. Pizza was a good idea though. The 1st round of Competition Racing Summer Season will be on in 2 weeks.
Truck was really good again.... Maybe a few more will turn up

Cheers Brendan

The drivers stand lock has been changed for 2018. I will be at the track in the morning (Sunday) at 10am with keys and membership forms for those that are interested. For about and hour.

Cheers Brendan

This is something that can not be avoided and needs to happen.

Hey guys,

Just a reminder that entries for the 2018 Qld EP championship close at the end of this week.
Numbers are still very low in F1 and the Tamiya truck classes....
Please go to QRCCRA.ORG.AU to find entry details and avoid the late fee.
We have so far
18 ISTC mod
25 ISTC 13.5
13 ISTC 21.5

It's going to be a great event so don't miss out on your chance to be a part of it

Cheers Shaps

Default Racing today

Well for a change the sun is out, the track is dry, the grass was mowed. So pack up the gear and get down here. Love to run a truck class if enough turn up. Elliot's just hangin for a run with his truck.

Cheers Brendan

Maybe if Mic had some more we’d be out there racing. Certainly looks fun and hope there’s a few more trucks there today. Come rain or shine.

Cheers Ollie
