http://www.spektrumrc.com/DSM/FAQs/Default.aspx

What type of telemetry will be available?
The first optional telemetry module will include the ability to monitor Real-time engine temperature, engine rpm, speed in mph or kph, battery voltage, signal strength and individual lap times. We hope have this telemetry module available in early spring.

Anything that helps with the killing of B Y Glitching I think should be allowable, but hey, what happens at Official events if the system is not sanctioned by the controlling bodies??
Would be a real Bugger to win an event then loose it on a Tech.

Tim_buckrogers- Why did they withdraw them from the LRP masters? people complaining of interference on 40 meg.

Me and Painy had problems with these OS... in two different incidents. The interference is

How did they silence the more high profile drivers who were also having problems???? they gave them spektrum sets

How do you know the spektrum doesnt emit a higher back ground interference than normal signal? after all it operates in Giga hertz rather than mega hertz. Mobile phones operate around this mark and try putting one of those next to a am/fm radio when a call is coming in.

how is this possible?? anythings possible..... i thought you would be smarter than this

i came across this.. it looks the goods

http://www.nomadio.net/default.asp?ilevel1=2

and this in the FAQ area

Q: I saw another DSS radio that goes into the radio slot of my M8 controller. Isn't that the same as your Sensor but much cheaper?

A: The history of high technology is full of "bridge" products that attempted to graft new technology onto older platforms that were never meant to handle it. These products never last long nor do they really fulfill customer expectations. Remember the adapters to let your car cassette player hook up to a CD?

The product you refer to is simply a "bolt on" DSS radio module. Nothing more. Since it lives inside controllers that were designed for analog AM and FM radios 3-5 years ago, it can never improve on the performance those units presently provide. In fact, since the analog output must be translated into a digital signal, it actually adds delay to the system.

Suppose you had a Ford Escort and somebody gave you a Ferrari 12 cylinder engine. You could mount the engine in your Escort and it would run, but would it drive like a Ferrari? No. It wouldn't, because all of the "systems" (suspension, transmission, weight distribution, etc) that make a Ferrari a premium product do not exist in a Ford Escort.

Using a bolt on DSS system with your RC radio is like putting a Ferrari engine in an economy car - your crystal radio wasn't designed to handle it, even though it technically works. You are missing all of the advantages of a full radio system that was designed for digital spread specturm and the features it enables.

I couldn't have cared less...

I've never had any problems with my radio when my phone rings when I race. Cant say I know anyone else who has either.

Has there ever been a race meet where josh hasn't had interference? Didn't think so

Are you not going to get a spektrum?

I got to use mine on the weekend for the first time. I absolutely loved it!! I went to the Gold Coast Challenge and I found that not having to worry about what crystal I was running to be so valuable. There was not much time to practice (1 hour) so no time was wasted hanging around waiting for my frequency to become available.

I was very surprised how small the receiver was. It fit into my TC4 with no problems at all. It took probably 30 seconds to set the new system up in my car. A very easy to use system.

I still pulled my conventional aerial up each time I walked up the drivers stand just out of habit. LOL. I would then realise what I had done and then put the aerial back down. I loved driving around with no aerial in front of my face.

A very impressive unit that worked faultlessly!
