paul i was told the tamworth events are usually a camp out type situation? is this true? ie not many hotels/motels nearby.

can we show up on saturday or is it like a state titles type thing were you gotta sign up a few weeks beforehand?

very wrong, right near the track is the Powerhouse Boutique...very good place, or there is Tamworth Towers.,

you can just show up! Nitro is on Saturday only.

BTW: Remember later this year the ROORDA NSW State Titles will be hosted by the Tamworth club.

No F1 - who races Pro 10 anyway??

Previous interstate challenges had racing start either Sat arvo or practice Sat, race Sunday to allow people to get there.

It is for these reasons that I won't be going.

Plus I know there was very little consulting with the Qld guys - I believe it is the Qld Onroad Gas Titles that same weekend. If so you won't have any nitro guys coming from north of the border.

So sorry to put a dampener on it but I don't think it will be a true interstate challenge. BTW I hope I am proven wrong.

Thumbs down

AND...

... it looks like there is some sort of major race day happening in Sydney - HPI Cup???

I can't see any Sydney boys travelling when they can race in their own backyard...

The QLD guys were consulted quite a bit for this event, the date for the meet was even left up to the QLD guys!

The electric mod and stock classes will be where the action is, there are alot of us Sydney guys going so we will travel all the way to Tamworth to race each other as per usual....

One year the challange appeard to be a Hurstville Indoor challenge - held in Tamworth!

I t will be good practice for the ROORDA State Titles later in the year, Also it's a great club and track that deserves some support.

BTW: The HPI race is this weekend, Tamworth is next weekend. Most of the entrants at the HPI race will be at the Tamworth race!

BK - I stand corrected about the HPI challenge.

Can you tell me who in Qld was consulted about the date, my sources tell me that only one person was consulted before the event was announced. Also this person is not involved with ORRCA Qld (the ruling body).

who cares who consulted who.... at the end of the day not everyone can be consulted... if your source was 'left out of the loop' that sometimes is life

what matters is the event is on, the track has been resurfaced people will be racing and as BK said its a good track and club

the state titles are there later - what better opportunity to have a practice

+ i bet my bottom $$'s there will be queenslanders there to stick it too!!

tom - the web address i have for tamworth has not worked for a while - can anyone else help?

contact - I agree the track is good, high grip, low tyre wear. Raced there a couple of years ago at NSW Onroad titles.

I don't know of any recognised Qld drivers going. In fact they are re-running the HD56 Cup this weekend. (Washed out last weekend due to rain.)

HD56 - Heavy D's 56th birthday.

Ha-Black-night and Besercoe how was your trip back from Tamworth? Did you have any more pit stop to go through after Muslbrooke?

TJ: Myself, Matt and Dave had a good trip back, plain sailing!

and how was the racing!!!!! NSW Dominated the event not one QLD made into an "A" main!

Next year we may aswell in invite the VICS for some competition!
