I've been privileged enough to have had a couple of days running at the circuit to help them set up. It is as good as it looks.

I can't tell you how much joy I got from driving on real carpet for the first time in years. It's like coming home.

The owners have put a lot of effort into making this the type of facility people have asked for, within the constraints of running a business. The track is equidistant from Sydney and Newcastle, so for big events should pull big numbers from each.

I could go on, but basically it's going to be awesome. You should all come.

Just imagine- vintage buggies with box stock tyres , F1 cars on foam, need I say more?

A recipe for success.

What can I say.. This track is an absolute dream to drive on. It feels like driving at IIC in las vegas again. The layout is amazing that flows and is quite easy to grasp with many chances for overtaking.

The barriers are car friendly... i managed to bounce off them at the end of the straight a few times and didnt break my car at all. The surface is really smooth.

The place is easy to get to and takes aprox 50min from the F3 entrance.

1/12 Scale starting point -

From the testing that i have done I have found the following feel great with Modified 1/12th (5.5t)

Front tires -

CRC Magenta
Speedmind 32's
Enetti / Sheppard - Medium

Rear Tires -

CRC Magenta
Enetti / Shepard - Medium or soft of you want a little bit of push

The smaller the tire, the better

Tire wear was quite minimal

associated 12r5.1
Close to kit setup feels like a good starting point
Gold center spring, 30wt oils all round and a little bit of preload on the blue side springs... oh and a tighter/non slipping diff is a must... there is SO MUCH forward bite, its unbelievable! AND you wont have to rebuild your diff at all because its CARPET!

Thank you to all of you guys for inviting me up for a test run.

I will be at EVERY meeting

ok noobie questions.
rubber or foams for TC,

In the US the seem to prefer rubbers for F1 on carpet, as anyone tried either ?
