Default RACING CANCELLED

Unfortunately BOM still has tomorrows weather forecast for a hot 39 degrees which means the heat rule comes to affect...thereby CANCELLING the race meet.

From 7.30 am tomorrow there is a working bee for a couple of hours to remove the pegs and timbers from the jumps so the construction crew doing the reserve running track can bulldoze the track during the week.

Cheers, Phil

Mother nature is a real bitch... Not the farewell to the track we all wanted

I can come down around 8.30ish and lend a hand.

Mr Reflexia to late for build log as is already built. Just have to install electrics and paint body. It looks like a 1/8th chassis {size wise) and lots of inside build changes. You will see it in 2 weeks weather permitting and if the new track is completed. Bruce C.

I'd just like echo the words of Mark King as well.
Big thanks to those who help take down the old track. A milestone in the making it was.....now its time to rebuild the new one and make a new milestone for 2016. Starting this Thursday we give the track heaps of water, then Friday the base gets its first roll then the grading begins. Next step is track layout on rolled base....looking forward to this.

Cant wait.....

Phil

Its truly is amazing how much we have completed in a short time once the go ahead was given.

Its now been over 2 years for me since I began negotiating the move with the council.
Hurdles and delays along the way were unavoidable.
Completion of our plans is close and we are working hard to have a fantastic facility.

I hear rumours of a number of the original mp sdmcc crew coming back to race too.

My thanks go to the regulular team who always come out when work is to be done, without you all we would not have a track at all.

Looking forward to a bit more work on the track and then the opening meet!

Cheers

I took a (bad) panorama of the finished track demolition. Think it's been there since 2004 in that configuration and the early 90's since rc started there. A friend of mine built the original drivers stand only to have some local tossers burn it down.
Big pic

The new track is going to be awesome

Good work guys!
Can't wait for the new track!
In a couple of weeks I will have 5 weeks off work and would like to help make the new track as awesome as possible.
I was at SDMCC in the mid-late 90's when the first stage of the huge rostrum went up. Good times!! Though we were always jealous of the track surface at MP 😉
Was great to get the old B3 out last meeting and give it a run.

Cheers, Al
