Default Wheel hub conversions for 2wd SC10

I have a standard SC10 and I would like to convert it to hex wheels, I have the rear wheels sorted but I can't put the hex on the front wheels due to the bearings. I have heard that there is a kit from AKA but it is a bit expensive, are there any other mods that will accomplish the same thing. Cheers, Tony.

Here is the kit from Associated. Cheap and easy to do. I also recommend getting the alloy hex kit from JCOncepts as they clamp on the axles.

Thanks Ray, not really sure how the fronts work. I will have a closer look tomorrow to see how the mod will fit.

The front steering block and axles replace the existing ones. The bearings sit inside the plastic block, and the axle (with hex attached) spins inside the bearings.

To complete the conversion, you will need the small alloy locknuts AE #4449 as the steering ballstud threads into these on the blocks. The front wheel nuts are the same size as the rears.

Hope this helps. If you want more detail, check out the SC10RS instruction manual
